WWE Survivor Series 2014 ResultsBy Cassidy| November 24, 2014 WWE PPVs Previous Page Detailed Results The 28th annual Survivor Series kicks off with a special surprise as WWE Chairman & CEO Mr. McMahon makes his way to the ring. The Chairman proclaims that tonight will be an “epic” night and it will be a Survivor Series for the ages. McMahon then introduces his daughter Stephanie McMahon and her husband Triple H, who join the Chairman in the ring. Stephanie tells her father that they will not let him down before The Authority starts a chant for Mr. McMahon. Having heard enough of The Authority’s sucking up, the Chairman moves along and brings out the captain of Team Cena, John Cena. McMahon reminds both sides of what is at stake and John Cena asks if he is going to have to throw The Authority out and Triple H responds by saying that, after Team Cena loses, Cena’s teammates will be fired and they will be “ignored” and “forgotten”. Stephanie then says that, as soon as someone leaves WWE, the fans forget about them and move on. Stephanie continues, saying that, even if The Authority is removed from power, they will still have their jobs at WWE Headquarters and they will still be calling the shots. However, Mr. McMahon corrects her daughter, saying that they will still have their desk jobs at WWE Headquarters and they will still manage things like finance and legal issues, but they will no longer have any influence over the lives or careers of anyone on the WWE roster! The Chairman then makes it clear to Triple H & Stephanie that there is only “one man” who can put them back in power if they lose later tonight. Stephanie then tells her father that they have the upmost “respect” for him and they know that McMahon has the “bigger picture” in mind and he will do what is “best for business”. The Chairman then says that he has so much faith in Triple H & Stephanie that, if they are removed from power, then the only man who can put them back in power is not Mr. McMahon, it will be John Cena! This puts a big smile on the face of John Cena before McMahon tells Triple H & Stephanie to not let him down. Stephanie then tells Cena to wipe the smile off of his face, saying that now they have even more incentive to win. Cena then vows that Team Authority will lose, saying that, after The Authority is out of power, then there is “no chance in hell” that he will ever let them have control of WWE again! The opening match of Survivor Series would see the WWE Tag Team Titles defended as the bizarre brothers of Gold & Stardust would defend the WWE Tag Team Titles against The Usos, Los Matadores, and The Miz & Damien Mizdow in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Match, where the first team to score a pinfall or submission will walk out as the WWE Tag Team Champions. At the end of a wild match between four unique tag teams, a huge tower of doom maneuver off the top rope would provide the perfect opportunity for Jimmy Uso to come off the top rope with the Superfly Splash to Goldust, but just before Uso came off of the top rope, The Miz tagged himself into the match. Then, after The Miz throws Jimmy Uso into the steel ring post, Damien Mizdow would tag himself into the match, stealing the pinfall on Goldust to win the WWE Tag Team Titles for himself and The Miz! After the match, The Miz would take both WWE Tag Team Titles as The Miz & Damien Mizdow celebrate as the new WWE Tag Team Champions! The Divas would then take on the namesake of Survivor Series as Natalya, with her husband Tyson Kidd in her corner, would join forces with Naomi, Emma, & Alicia Fox to face Paige, Cameron, Layla, & Summer Rae in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match. The first elimination of the match would see Naomi roll Cameron up, eliminating her former friend from the match. The second elimination would see Alicia Fox hitting a backbreaker on Layla, pinning Layla to eliminate her from the match and putting the odds clearly in the favor of Natalya’s team. During the match, Summer Rae would take it upon herself to use one of Paige’s signature maneuvers and would even mock Paige. This would prompt Paige to roll Summer Rae back into the ring against her will, ultimately costing her own team as Emma locks in her submission move on Summer Rae, making Summer tap out to leave Paige all on her own against four opponents. While Paige would try her best to combat the odds, the four-on-one odds would prove too much for the former champion as Naomi hits a modified DDT on Paige, pinning Paige to pick up the win for her team. Then it was time for a personal war to come to a head as “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose would go one-on-one with the enigmatic and mysterious “Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt. During a match that more resembled a brawl, Bray Wyatt would blast Dean Ambrose with a huge clothesline before taking Ambrose to the outside and slamming Ambrose on the steel steps. However, Dean Ambrose would kick out and Bray Wyatt would then grab a microphone, telling Ambrose that he is “sorry”, but Ambrose chose his “path”. Bray then brings two steel chairs into the ring and, while the referee gets rid of one chair, Ambrose grabs the other chair. Bray then tells Ambrose then he is not like the others, but Dean Ambrose would succumb to the notion that he is a monster by driving the steel chair into Bray’s mid-section, which ends the match by disqualification. With the match over, Dean Ambrose spikes Bray Wyatt onto the chair with Dirty Deeds, but “The Lunatic Fringe” was not done with Bray Wyatt as Ambrose sets up a table in the ring. Ambrose then places “The Eater of Worlds” on the table, driving Bray through the table with an elbow drop off of the top rope. Having clearly lost it, Ambrose would drag another table into the ring, placing it over Bray Wyatt and smashing the table with a chair! Ambrose then tosses several more steel chairs in the ring, piling them on top of Bray Wyatt and, just when it seems like Ambrose is done, “The Lunatic Fringe” slides a ladder into the ring. Ambrose then sets up the super tall ladder in the ring, climbing to the top in a sign of victory as Bray Wyatt lies among the broken pieces of table under wood and steel before referees rush the ring to tend to Bray Wyatt. Backstage, The Authority gives Team Authority one last pep talk, letting all of them know that, not only are they fighting for The Authority to stay in power, but they are fighting for their own futures. Triple H explains that, if The Authority is driven out of power, then whoever takes over control of WWE will make sure that the members of Team Authority will have to go through hell. The COO then leads the team in an intense “fight” chant as Team Authority readies themselves for the biggest fight of their careers. Following a backstage confrontation where Heath Slater & Titus O’Neil told Adam Rose that The Bunny is the true star, Adam Rose would team with The Bunny to face Heath Slater & Titus O’Neil in tag team action. In the end, with Adam Rose reaching for the tag, The Bunny would ignore his partner as The Bunny rolls Heath Slater up for the win. After the match, The Bunny would shock Adam Rose by doing Rose’s signature trust fall into The Exotic Express, who carry The Bunny to the back while Adam Rose is left alone in the ring. The recovering Roman Reigns would make an appearance live via satellite at Survivor Series as Reigns says that Survivor Series has been good to him and he would rather be competing than talking. Roman then says that he would “make it rain” in St. Louis before saying that everyone knows how he feels about Seth Rollins, dropping the bombshell that, in about a month, he will be back and they can all “believe that”! Backstage, John Cena confronts his team of Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Ryback, & Erick Rowan saying that he will do whatever it takes to make sure they win tonight. Dolph Ziggler then says that he will do anything to make sure that The Authority is removed from power and Big Show says that they know what is at stake tonight. Cena then says that there is one thing that they have to do tonight, which leads Erick Rowan to speak up, simply saying “win”. After weeks of unflattering mockery, the Divas Title would be up for grabs at Survivor Series as AJ Lee would defend the Divas Title against Nikki Bella, with her sister and personal assistant for two more days, Brie Bella, in her corner. As soon as the match begins, Brie Bella would get on the ring apron with the Divas Title belt and, in similar fashion to what happened to her husband Daniel Bryan a few years ago at WrestleMania, Brie would plant a kiss on AJ Lee! Naturally, this would take AJ Lee out of her game and Nikki Bella would hit the Rack Attack and pin AJ Lee to win the Divas Title in record time! Things would then get even more bizarre as Brie Bella actually smiles at ringside, gladly handing her sister the Divas Title belt before raising her hand in victory! Then it was time for the epic main event that, one way or another, will change the landscape of WWE as John Cena would captain a team determined to put The Authority out of power as John Cena would enlist the help of “The Show-Off” Dolph Ziggler, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show, the bizarre Erick Rowan, and “The Big Guy” Ryback as Team Cena would put their own careers on the line as they face Team Authority, which would consist of team captain “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins, The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane, “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry, United States Champion Rusev, and Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper and, if Team Cena wins, then Triple H & Stephanie McMahon will no longer be in charge of WWE and cannot regain power unless John Cena says so, but if Team Authority wins, then Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Erick Rowan, & Ryback will be fired. With Triple H & Stephanie McMahon standing and applauding their team, Director of Operations Kane, “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry, Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper, United States Champion Rusev, with Lana in his corner, and team captain “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins, with his personal security in his corner, would make their way to the ring. With The Authority standing side-by-side with Team Authority in the ring, Team Cena would assemble before them as “The Show-Off” Dolph Ziggler, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show, the unusual Erick Rowan, “The Big Guy” Ryback, and the captain of the team, John Cena, would lead his team into battle as Team Cena enters the ring, coming face-to-face with Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, & Team Authority. The bell would ring and the match would begin, but with Big Show waiting across the ring, Mark Henry would get one last pep talk from Triple H & Stephanie as Triple H even slaps Henry to get him fired up. However, as soon as Mark Henry got within reach of Big Show, “The World’s Largest Athlete” would knock Mark Henry out cold with the Knockout Punch, pinning Mark Henry to eliminate “The World’s Strongest Man” from the match almost immediately! The sudden elimination of the largest member of their team would bring a look of shock on the face of Triple H & Stephanie McMahon, a look that would turn to a crushing realization that Team Authority is now outnumbered. With a dejected Triple H taking a seat at ringside, the match would continue between the five members of Team Cena and the four remaining members of Team Authority. Later on in the match, the organized match would break down into a brawl and, with the referee struggling to regain control, Seth Rollins would take advantage, planting Ryback with the Curb Stomp behind the referee’s back. This would allow Rusev to blast Ryback with a big kick to the face, pinning Ryback to eliminate “The Big Guy” from the match and evening things up for Team Authority, bringing Triple H back to his feet as The Authority continues to cheer on their team. The match would again break down and, this time, Erick Rowan would end up tossing Seth Rollins on top of Team Authority at ringside, but that would be followed up by Rusev tossing Dolph Ziggler to the outside, taking out members of both teams! With The Authority rooting him on, Rusev would expose the Spanish announce table, placing Dolph Ziggler on the table, but when Rusev runs across the announce table in an attempt to crush Dolph with a big splash, Ziggler would pull himself off of the table and Rusev would crash through the table! With the referee at a count of nine, Dolph would barely make it back into the ring in time and, despite the best efforts of Jamie Noble & Joey Mercury to help Rusev back into the ring, the United States Champion would get counted out and Team Cena would again gain the one man advantage! Shortly after this, John Cena would hit the Attitude Adjustment on Kane, but Seth Rollins would illegally enter the ring and spike John Cena with the Curb Stomp, leaving both Cena and Kane down in the ring before they are able to crawl to their respective corners and tag out. Former teammates Luke Harper and Erick Rowan would then go toe-to-toe, but Seth Rollins would again make the save for Team Authority, catching Erick Rowan with a knee off of the top rope. Harper then follows this up with the Discus Clothesline to Rowan, pinning Rowan to eliminate his former Wyatt Family brother. This would even things up for both sides as both teams would have three Superstars a piece and, with Dolph Ziggler still out of it on the outside, John Cena and Big Show would enter the ring for an intense stand-off against Seth Rollins, Kane, & Luke Harper. However, “The World’s Largest Athlete” would show his true colors as Big Show would blatantly betray his own team captain with a Knockout Punch to John Cena! Then, with Big Show watching without the least bit of concern, Seth Rollins would pin John Cena, eliminating the team captain of Team Cena. Big Show then walks over and reaches over the top rope, extending his hand to a perplexed Triple H, who shakes the giant’s hand before Big Show walks out of the match. The referee then rolls the eliminated John Cena to the outside and, as Cena fully realizes what just happened, Stephanie McMahon taunts John Cena. A visibly upset John Cena then walks to the back as Kane picks up the only remaining member of Team Cena, Dolph Ziggler, tossing Dolph into the ringside barricade before rolling Ziggler back into the ring. However, while Team Authority looked to make an example out of Dolph Ziggler, the team would underestimate the resiliency of “The Show-Off” as Dolph Ziggler would mount a comeback before hitting the Zig Zag on Kane, pinning the Director of Operations to eliminate Kane from the match. Shortly after this, Dolph Ziggler’s defeat again looked all but certain, but Dolph would somehow survive the onslaught by Luke Harper, surprising Harper with a roll-up to eliminate the Intercontinental Champion and, miraculously, even things up with one man a piece for both teams as Dolph Ziggler, representing Team Cena, would face Seth Rollins, representing Team Authority! Seth Rollins’ initial shock would turn to intensity as “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” would look to put the finishing touches on Dolph Ziggler, but Dolph would fight back, coming within an eyelash of scoring the deciding fall. Both resilient Superstars would continue to go back-and-forth with Dolph Ziggler again nearing the win after hitting the Famouser, but Seth Rollins would continue to survive. This would lead to Triple H instructing Jamie Noble & Joey Mercury to get involved, but that would backfire as Dolph Ziggler would knock both members of the personal security off of the ring apron before surprising Seth Rollins with the Zig Zag! However, with victory all but a certainty for Dolph Ziggler, a desperate Triple H would resort to pulling the referee out of the ring and decking the official with a right hand at ringside to keep Dolph from scoring the pin! With the referee down, the personal security would swarm the ring, attempting to beat down Dolph Ziggler, but Dolph would battle back, knocking the personal security into Stephanie McMahon, who falls from the apron, landing on Triple H at ringside. Dolph then drops both Noble & Mercury with super kicks, but when Dolph goes for a third super kick on Seth Rollins, Rollins would avoid the kick, hitting the turnbuckle powerbomb on Dolph. Ziggler would then move out of the way of the Curb Stomp, catching Rollins with the Zig Zag for a second time and, when a second referee comes down to the ring to count the pin, Triple H again gets involved in the match as the COO takes out the second official just before he can make the three-count! Again taking matters into his own hands, Triple H tosses the lifeless referee out of the ring before turning his attention to Dolph Ziggler, pounding Dolph with right hands and dropping Ziggler with a big clothesline before dealing the final blow to Dolph Ziggler, planting Dolph with the Pedigree. Triple H then rolls Dolph over and away from the ropes before dragging a barely conscious Seth Rollins on top of Dolph Ziggler. Triple H then calls for another referee and the referee the COO gets is none other than Scott Armstrong, the crooked referee who has repeatedly aided The Authority during their tenure. However, just as Scott Armstrong was set to make the three-count, the sudden sound of a crow cawing fills the arena as a flurry of images flash by on the big screen, showing a baron wasteland and a vulture, but most importantly, it shows the unmistakable painted face of a wrestling legend. What was shown on the screen quickly becomes a reality as the one, the only, the man they call Sting steps onto a WWE stage for the first time in his legendary career! In a surreal moment for the ages, the eight-time World Champion methodically walks towards the ring where only Triple H and Scott Armstrong are standing, but when Scott Armstrong exits the ring at the orders of Triple H, he is decked by Sting! Sting then steps into a WWE ring for the first time ever, locking eyes with Triple H as the two seasoned veterans circle each other in the ring. A clearly agitated, albeit confused, Triple H is the first to make a move as the COO tries to catch Sting with a right hand, but Sting side-steps Triple H before kicking the COO in the mid-section, planting Triple H with the Scorpion Deathdrop! Sting then walks over to Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler, pulling Rollins off of Ziggler and draping Dolph’s arm over Rollins and, as Sting walks away from the ring, the referee enters the ring, counting the pinfall as Team Cena defeats Team Authority and, just like that, Triple H & Stephanie McMahon’s control of WWE goes up in smoke. A battle-weary Dolph Ziggler just manages to climb to his feet long enough to realize that he is the sole survivor of the winning team and, while he may not have realized just how he won, “The Show-Off” realized that he had won and that meant that, not only was his job safe, but his victory meant the end of the reign of terror brought on by The Authority. With the help of the referee, Dolph Ziggler is able to exit the ring before he is greeted and embraced by John Cena on the stage, who helps Dolph Ziggler to the back with both men sporting big grins on their faces. Meanwhile, Stephanie McMahon is the first to come to, slowly realizing that both her and her husband will no longer have any power in WWE. Stephanie then enters the ring to tend to her husband as Triple H slowly comes to, as well, taking a moment to look at the fans and realize that The Authority is no more and that both he and Stephanie no longer have control of WWE. Both Triple H & Stephanie then get to their feet and the singing of the fans results in Stephanie completely breaking down as Stephanie screams at the fans to “stop” while holding her ears. Stephanie’s tone then turns to one of defiance as Stephanie repeatedly tells her husband that it is “not over”. However, once the fans start chanting “you got fired”, Stephanie completely blows a gasket, screaming at the fans, only being held back by Triple H and creating a lasting image as Triple H & Stephanie McMahon stand in a WWE ring no longer having any control of the company that has been a part of their lives for so many years, being unceremoniously serenaded by the WWE fans that have come to loath them just as much as most of the WWE locker room.
