With no prospects of a continued career in wrestling (because, of course, WWE is the only promotion in existence), all of the Superstars have moved to Slam City and taken up day jobs. As this is a show for young kids (which makes a total mockery of the 12 rating the DVD has), my dad felt it would be better to turn this review over to me, his 7yr-old son, Joshua, who has big plans to be making waves in a WWE ring as his alter ego, Josh Maverick – so look out for me in 15yrs and tell me “The Hangman” Draven Cage sent you. What follows is a mini-review of each of the twenty-six 2min episodes and a mark out of 5 stars, making me just like a mini-Meltzer (according to my dad) Auto-Tude Adjustment Synopsis: John Cena takes a job as a mechanic. Overview Looking at the Wiki page for the show, it made my dad laugh that the Kane episode aired on May 19th. He’d like to think this was a brilliant little in-joke to play on WWE storyline continuity, while the running order of the DVD is not the same as when the show first aired on TV. While it is definitely for kids, one scene showing The Finisher with two knives stuck in his body is probably where the 12 rating comes from as my dad says it doesn’t come across in the kid-friendly way of, say, the Tom & Jerry cartoons. The little bits between each episode are nice and my dad says that, if you are so inclined, you can watch all the episodes as small skits of a one-hour show as there are no actual breaks. This is a brilliant show for kids and one that should be on the list for Santa this Christmans. Points: 10/10 Article by: Josh Maverick (aged 7) Buy It: UK: DVD
