WWE SmackDown Results: October 31, 2014By Cassidy| October 31, 2014 WWE SmackDown The Dean of Halloween. Five nights after WWE Hell in a Cell, the 793rd edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown was a special Halloween edition of SmackDown and it came to you from the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. On a spook-tacular night of Halloween-themed action, Dean Ambrose would be in a match sure to help work out his aggression following Bray Wyatt’s interference in his Hell in a Cell Match against Seth Rollins this past Sunday night as “The Lunatic Fringe” would face “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro in a Trick or Street Fight! What might this specially-named Street Fight offer for two of WWE’s most intense competitors? After Dolph Ziggler was seen talking to John Cena backstage on RAW, The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane suspected that the Intercontinental Champion might be joining John Cena’s team in the Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match against Team Authority at Survivor Series. As a result, Kane took it upon himself to face Dolph Ziggler in a match on RAW, but instead of dealing out punishment to “The Show-Off”, Kane was caught off-guard with a sunset flip by Dolph, who picked up the win and, after the match, John Cena rescued Ziggler from a two-on-one beatdown by Kane & Seth Rollins, only adding to The Authority’s suspicions. Now, on SmackDown, the Director of Operations would take a second shot at trying to ‘persuade’ the Intercontinental Champion as Kane goes one-on-one with Dolph Ziggler in a non-title rematch. On RAW this past Monday night, Big Show was looking to rebound from his disappointing loss to Rusev at WWE Hell in a Cell by winning the WWE Tag Team Titles with his friend and tag team partner Mark Henry. However, “The World’s Strongest Man” had a different plan in mind as Mark Henry turned on his supposed friend, costing himself and Big Show the tag titles, but more importantly, Mark Henry squashed Big Show with three World’s Strongest Slams and a big running splash, leaving “The World’s Largest Athlete” in a heap. With questions abound regarding Mark Henry’s betrayal, the self-proclaimed “A-Lister”, The Miz, and his stunt double, Damien Mizdow, would try to get to the bottom of it as The Miz hosts Miz TV and his guest will be none other than Mark Henry! What will “The World’s Strongest Man” have to say about his vicious attack on Big Show? The Divas would also get in on the Halloween festivities in a special way as SmackDown would feature a Divas Halloween Costume Battle Royal with the winning Diva becoming the new #1 Contender for the Divas Championship! Also, after making Big Show tap out to the Accolade at WWE Hell in a Cell in an emotional battle for “The World’s Largest Athlete”, Rusev would look to slay another giant as “The Hero of the Russian Federation” would collide with “The Punjabi Giant” The Great Khali on SmackDown.
