WWE RAW Results: October 27, 2014By Cassidy| October 28, 2014 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results RAW kicks off with The Authority in the ring as WWE COO Triple H, WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon, and Director of Operations Kane open the show. Stephanie welcomes everyone to RAW before saying that fans more than got their money’s worth at WWE Hell in a Cell. Triple H says that last night was “bittersweet” as, while John Cena defeated Randy Orton, the “future” of WWE had a different night at WWE Hell in a Cell. Triple H then introduces “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins, who hobbles his way to the ring with J&J Security in tow. With a smile on his face, Seth Rollins greets The Authority before saying that, finally, Dean Ambrose is out of his hair, saying that Ambrose is no longer a thorn in his side. Rollins continues, saying that he proved that “intellect conquers” and, now that he is done with Ambrose, he is setting his sights on the man who defeated Randy Orton inside Hell in a Cell, John Cena, who he faces later in the night. Rollins then vows to leave John Cena in the same condition that he left Ambrose in last night, in a pile of his own “failure”. Having said his piece, Seth Rollins and The Authority was set to leave the ring, but this is when Randy Orton makes his way to the ring to confront “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank”. The amped-up “Viper” says that he hates to break up the “love-fest”, asking why he has already heard twice about his loss to John Cena, saying that maybe Seth Rollins’ Curb Stomp to him last week had something to do with it. The livid Orton says that he made himself a “promise” that, if The Authority did not handle the Seth Rollins problem, then he would handle it himself. With that, the enraged Orton charges at Rollins, but the other members The Authority is quick to jump in and separate the two. Triple H then tells Randy Orton that they are not doing this tonight, telling Orton to “relax” and take the night off! The COO then tells “The Viper” that, when the time is right, they will deal with it. However, in the middle of Triple H trying to convince Randy Orton to settle down, “The Viper” strikes, pushing Triple H to the side and hitting the RKO on Seth Rollins! Orton then slides out of the ring and marches to the back, leaving a livid Triple H and a laid out Seth Rollins in the ring. Rollins’ security then helps him to his feet as The Authority heads to the back. Following a disappointing loss to Rusev at WWE Hell in a Cell, Big Show would get the opportunity to get back on track as “The World’s Largest Athlete” would team with his friend, “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry, to challenge Gold & Stardust for the WWE Tag Team Titles in the opening match of the night. During the match, problems would arise between Big Show & Mark Henry after Big Show decides to tag himself into the match. Later on in the match, Big Show would again tag himself into the match and would absolutely dominate the match, knocking Stardust out with the Knockout Punch and tossing Goldust out of the ring, but before Big Show can pin Stardust, Mark Henry enters the ring and plants his own partner with the World’s Strongest Slam! Henry then tosses Stardust on top of Big Show and the referee counts the pinfall as Gold & Stardust successfully retain the WWE Tag Team Titles, thanks to Mark Henry’s betrayal. After the match, Big Show would get back to his feet only to get put down again as Mark Henry plants “The World’s Largest Athlete” with another World’s Strongest Slam! Big Show then uses the ropes to slowly get to his feet and, for a third time, Mark henry scoops Big Show up and delivers the World’s Strongest Slam! Mark Henry then follows this up with a big splash before finally leaving the ring. A month after undergoing emergency hernia surgery last month, Roman Reigns would appear on RAW live via satellite to update everyone on his recovery. Roman says that he is getting stronger every day and he would do anything to be in San Antonio. When asked about the Hell in a Cell Match between his former teammates, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, Roman says that Ambrose and Rollins “tore the house down”, calling Rollins a “weasel”. Roman continues, saying that, when he’s medically clear, he is going to make Seth Rollins the “past”. After a questionable decision by Alicia Fox led to AJ Lee making Paige tap out to retain the Divas Title at WWE Hell in a Cell, Paige would be a guest on commentary as Divas Champion AJ Lee went one-on-one with Alicia Fox in a non-title match. During the match, Paige would shove her supposed best friend behind the referee’s back, screaming at Alicia Fox to “win”. This would turn Alicia’s focus to Paige and AJ Lee would take advantage, rolling Alicia up to pick up the win. After the match, Paige would get into the ring, offering her bracelet to Alicia Fox as a peace offering, but when Alicia reaches for the jewelry, Paige kicks Alicia in the mid-section! Paige then follows Alicia Fox to the outside, catapulting her into the ringside barricade before repeatedly slamming Alicia’s head into the barricade. Jerry Lawler then gets out of his seat as “The King” stops the assault, helping Alicia Fox to her feet. One night after surviving a Hell in a Cell Match against his longtime rival, Randy Orton, to earn a future shot at Brock Lesnar and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, the new #1 Contender for WWE’s top prize makes his way to the ring to address his victory. Cena says that he and Randy Orton went through hell for the “opportunity” to face Brock Lesnar and he beat “The Viper”, so he has earned his shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The #1 Contender then says that the next time that Brock Lesnar decides to enter a WWE ring against John Cena, “The Beast” will lose! Cena continues, saying that everything that he does on his way to facing Brock Lesnar for the gold will be a “statement” sent to the champion. Cena says that he made his first statement by defeating Randy Orton inside Hell in a Cell and, tonight, he will make another statement in the main event as Seth Rollins will get a “first class wake-up call”, saying that he will “go through the future” tonight. Cena is then interrupted by WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon, who makes her way to the ring. Stephanie tells Cena that she cannot wait for the main event between Cena and Seth Rollins, but she also cannot wait for Survivor Series, where there will be a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match. Stephanie then says that the fans do not matter because all they care about is seeing “blood and guts” and people tearing each other apart, something that Cena has been doing for years. Stephanie continues, saying that Cena could come to The Authority because they “care” about Cena and his contributions to the business, saying that The Authority could offer a bit of “insurance” and help “guarantee” a victory over Brock Lesnar for John Cena. The Principal Owner then says that they could give Cena the “power” that he deserves, saying that Cena could become a part of a “family”. Cena argues that the fans are a part of RAW and he is there for them, not the other way around. Stephanie says that, when Cena is gone, the fans won’t remember Cena, but Cena argues that the fans will remember him and he does not want the fans to remember him as a sell-out, giving Stephanie a resounding “hell no”. WWE COO Triple H then makes his way to the ring to confront John Cena, saying that Cena has been in WWE for twelve years, but he has been in WWE for 20 years. Triple H continues, saying that it gets more difficult every year and telling Cena that Cena is “hanging by a thread”. Triple H then says that the “future is coming” whether Cena likes it or not, but it does not have to be as hard as Cena is making it, saying that the wrestling business is about “longevity”. Triple H continues, saying that he might just have to “prove” to John Cena that he “cannot stop the future”, saying that, at Survivor Series, they will make an “example” out of Cena. The COO then says that they will have Team Authority and Cena will have to go to the back and find someone with Cena’s guts and gumption to stand up against the system to see if they can “survive” against The Authority. Triple H then announces that Team Authority will face Team Cena at Survivor Series and Cena will hand-pick his teammates for the battle! Triple H then declares that the “future” will “run through” Cena and that will either happen tonight or at Survivor Series, concluding that Cena needs to smarten up to the idea that The Authority “always wins”. After both sides suffered disappointing losses in title matches at WWE Hell in a Cell, The Usos would face the self-proclaimed “A-Lister” The Miz and his stunt double Damien Mizdow in tag team action on RAW. During the match, the referee would have his attention on getting Damien Mizdow out of the ring and this is when The Usos would take advantage as Jimmy and Jey would switch spots and, when The Miz would approach the Uso on the ring, he would be surprised by a roll-up as The Usos pick up the win. In an open challenge laid out by Bo Dallas himself, the self-proclaimed “inspiration” could not have anticipated that he would be going one-on-one with the returning Ryback! “The Big Guy” would make quick work of Bo Dallas, hitting Shell Shocked and picking up the dominant win. After his ultimate revenge against Seth Rollins was ruined by the returning Bray Wyatt inside Hell in a Cell, Dean Ambrose was in action on RAW as “The Lunatic Fringe” went one-on-one with “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro. Before the match begins, Dean Ambrose stands on top of the announce table, saying that, last night, he went to hell and he loved every second of it, but the only problem was when he went to hell, he found Bray Wyatt. Ambrose says that he doesn’t care why Bray Wyatt did what he did, but you “don’t screw” with Dean Ambrose. “The Lunatic Fringe” then rushes the ring with microphone in hand, repeatedly pummeling Cesaro with the microphone! Cesaro would try to escape up the ramp, but Ambrose would continue to catch up to Cesaro and would continue to attack Cesaro! Ambrose would finally turn his attention away from Cesaro, heading back to the ring and calling Bray Wyatt out. Bray would appear on the big screen, saying that when he looks at Dean Ambrose, he sees his own “deranged reflection” and they are both “victims” of a system that makes men “torture”. Bray continues, saying that the world is not “made” for them, saying that he is not Ambrose’s “brother” and he is not his “friend”, he is Ambrose, saying that he is going to “dismantle” Ambrose’s mind and “feast” on it, advising Ambrose to “run”. Accompanied by her new personal assistant for 30 days, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella would go one-on-one with Naomi on RAW. During the match, Brie Bella would reluctantly grab the foot of Naomi, allowing Nikki to take advantage, hitting the Rack Attack and pinning Naomi for the win. After the match, Nikki Bella would make her sister come into the ring and raise her hand in victory. After being spotted having a conversation with John Cena in the backstage area earlier in the night regarding Survivor Series, Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler would be forced to go one-on-one with The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane in a non-title match. However, Kane’s attempt at punishing Dolph Ziggler would backfire as, at the end of a hotly-contested match, it was Dolph surprising the Director of Operations with a roll-up to pick up the win. The Intercontinental Champion’s celebration was short-lived, however, as Seth Rollins would blindside Dolph Ziggler on the outside, tossing Dolph back into the ring. Kane and Rollins then proceed to put the boots to Dolph Ziggler, but before any real damage could be done, John Cena makes his way to the ring, scaring Seth Rollins out of the ring and sending Kane packing from the ring. Cena then raises the hand of the match’s winner and potential Team Cena teammate Dolph Ziggler. Then it was time for the main event as, one night after both men emerged victorious from Hell in a Cell, the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the leader of Team Cena at Survivor Series, John Cena, would go one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins, with J&J Security in his corner. During the match, with the referee’s attention on Seth Rollins, Joey Mercury would blast John Cena with a right hand, nearly costing Cena the match. Shortly after this, Rollins would toss Cena to the outside and, with the referee again distracted, Jamie Noble & Joey Mercury would put the boots to Cena, allowing Rollins to gain the advantage in the match. Throughout the match, Rollins’ personal security would continue to be a factor in the match, but having had enough of Noble & Mercury, Cena would launch Rollins over the top rope, taking out both Noble & Mercury! At the end of an incredible match, John Cena would finally lock in the STF on Seth Rollins, but with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” moments from potentially tapping out, Kane rushes to the ring and attacks Cena, ending the match by disqualification. With the match now over, Kane and Seth Rollins would target John Cena, but Dolph Ziggler would rush to the aid of Cena, sparking a brawl between the four men. However, Jamie Noble & Joey Mercury would join the fray, giving The Authority the advantage. This is when a divided locker room would empty into the ring as Gold & Stardust, The Miz, Damien Mizdow, Cesaro, R-Truth, The Usos, Jack Swagger, Slater & Gator, Los Matadores, Big E, Bo Dallas, Sheamus, Adam Rose, and countless others would rush into the ring, sparking a massive brawl among the Superstars! The huge brawl would allow Seth Rollins and his personal security to escape the ring as Triple H & Stephanie McMahon join Rollins and company on the stage to witness the huge melee. Meanwhile, the brawl spills outside the ring and, in the ring, John Cena hits Heath Slater with the Attitude Adjustment, followed by another Attitude Adjustment to Bo Dallas, sending a clear message to The Authority as Cena stands tall in the ring as the brawl continues around the ring.
