WWE RAW Results: October 13, 2014By Cassidy| October 13, 2014 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results Before he faces John Cena in a No Holds Barred Contract-on-a-Pole Match at WWE Hell in a Cell with the winner facing Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell, RAW kicks off with “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose. Ambrose says that there is nothing that he would like more than to be locked inside Hell in a Cell with Seth Rollins so he can beat Rollins so bad that he wishes that he never heard the name Dean Ambrose. “The Lunatic Fringe” says there is one man standing in his way and that is John Cena, saying that he dropped Cena last week on RAW and Cena paid him back on SmackDown. Ambrose continues, saying that The Authority wants him and Cena to tear each other apart to try and protect Seth Rollins before proclaiming that he is going to take the contract at WWE Hell in a Cell and then he’s going to take the pole down and beat Cena “senseless” with it! Ambrose then says that he is then going to go into Hell in a Cell and bounce Seth Rollins off of every side of the cell and there is nothing that The Authority can do about it. Naturally, this brings John Cena to the ring as the fifteen-time former World Champion confronts “The Lunatic Fringe”. Cena says that Ambrose needs to “relax”, saying that the match has already been made and its two weeks away. Cena then says that the fans want to see them face each other at WWE Hell in a Cell and they want to see one of them destroy Seth Rollins before telling Ambrose that he has got the match of his life at WWE Hell in a Cell in two weeks, telling Ambrose to “shut up”. Cena continues, telling Ambrose to use the next two weeks to get ready for the biggest match of his career, but Ambrose says that he has been ready. Ambrose then says that he has been preparing for a fight against John Cena for years, telling Cena not to talk to him like he’s a “chump” and don’t act like he cares about him. Ambrose says that he doesn’t trust John Cena and Cena says that Ambrose’s “instability” will cost him, saying that he has been to the “mountain top” fifteen times. Cena then tells Ambrose that he is way out of his league, saying that Ambrose should “pipe down” and use the next two weeks to “get ready”. WWE COO Triple H & WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon then come out to the stage as Stephanie proposes a tag team match featuring Cena and Ambrose, leading to The Authority mocking Cena and Ambrose and openly questioning whether or not they can function as a team. Triple H & Stephanie then accuse Cena and Ambrose of being “afraid” of each other before betting on whether or not they will tear each other apart. Stephanie then announces that, tonight, Cena and Ambrose will team up to face The Usos and WWE Tag Team Champions Gold & Stardust in a Triple Threat Tag Match! Per the orders of The Authority, the opening match of the night would see WWE Hell in a Cell opponents John Cena and Dean Ambrose team up to face The Usos and WWE Tag Team Champions Gold & Stardust in a non-title Triple Threat Tag Match. During the match, The Usos would knock Gold & Stardust to the outside of the ring before diving to the outside, taking out the WWE Tag Team Champions. However, John Cena would then uncharacteristically climb to the top rope, diving on top of The Usos and Gold & Stardust! Not willing to be out-done by John Cena, Dean Ambrose then climbs to the top rope, diving to the outside on top of all five men, including his tag team partner! Shortly after this, Dean Ambrose hits Dirty Deeds on Goldust while John Cena hits Stardust with the Attitude Adjustment, pinning Stardust to pick up the win for the unlikely team. After the match, Triple H & Stephanie come back out to the stage as Triple H gives Stephanie a dollar for winning their bet before Triple H says that they both just need the “spark”, saying that they both want a piece of Seth Rollins, so why wait for WWE Hell in a Cell for them to have their match! The COO then announces that the No Holds Barred Contract-on-a-Pole Match between John Cena and Dean Ambrose will take place tonight, vowing that “hell” starts for both of them tonight! Despite making it clear last week that she has no interest in having any friends or tag team partners, Divas Champion AJ Lee would team with Layla to face Paige & Alicia Fox on RAW. In a role reversal from last week, AJ Lee’s tag team partner would abandon her as Layla would refuse to tag into the match. However, AJ Lee would prove capable of handling things on her own as the Divas Champion hits the Shining Wizard on Alicia Fox, pinning Alicia for the win. After the match, AJ Lee would set her sights on Layla, chasing Layla up the ramp, taking Layla down before tossing her into the ringside barricade, picking her up and tossing her into the barricade again. Backstage, Randy Orton confronts Triple H & Stephanie McMahon, commenting that either John Cena or Dean Ambrose will beat Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell before giving The Authority an intriguing idea, proposing that, whoever loses the No Holds Barred Contract-on-a-Pole Match between John Cena and Dean Ambrose should face “The Viper” inside Hell in a Cell at WWE Hell in a Cell! The Authority agrees and the match is made official, guaranteeing two Hell in a Cell Matches at WWE Hell in a Cell! Before he faces either John Cena or Dean Ambrose inside Hell in a Cell at WWE Hell in a Cell, “The Viper” Randy Orton would go one-on-one with Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match on RAW with Cesaro a guest on commentary. During the match, “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins would make his way down the ramp, which enrages Randy Orton. At the end of a stellar match, it was Randy Orton countering an attempt at the Famouser by Dolph Ziggler into the RKO, pinning the Intercontinental Champion for the win. After the match, Seth Rollins would enter the ring with a smirk on his face, looking at Randy Orton before coming off of the ropes and hitting the Curb Stomp on Dolph Ziggler. As he prepares to face either John Cena or Dean Ambrose inside Hell in a Cell in two weeks, “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins went one-on-one with “The Real American” Jack Swagger, with Zeb Colter in his corner, on RAW. Much like Seth Rollins did during Randy Orton’s match with Dolph Ziggler moments earlier, Randy Orton would make his way to ringside during the match. Seth Rollins would have a difficult time against the former World Heavyweight Champion, but “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” would spot an opening to roll Jack Swagger up, using the tights for leverage to keep Swagger down for the three-count as Rollins picks up the win. After the match, Randy Orton would make sure he had the attention of “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” before he hits Jack Swagger with the RKO. This leads to an intense face-off between Orton and Rollins before Rollins exits the ring, refusing to take his eyes off of “The Viper”. Then it was time for a titanic collision between two proud patriots as “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show would go one-on-one with the undefeated “Hero of the Russian Federation” Rusev, with Lana in his corner. During an intensely competitive match, Rusev would manage to lock in the Accolade on Big Show, but Mark Henry would make his way to ringside. Mark Henry then gets on the ring apron as Rusev knocks Henry off of the apron before locking the Accolade in on Big Show again, but Mark Henry would enter the ring, attacking Rusev and ending the match by disqualification. After the match, Mark Henry would tend to Big Show, helping “The World’s Largest Athlete” to his feet. After a brief argument between the two, cooler heads would prevail and, after the large Russian flag unrolls above the ring, Big Show and Mark Henry exit the ring, surrounding Rusev on both sides. Rusev would go after Mark Henry, attacking “The World’s Strongest Man”, but when Rusev turns around, he is caught with the Knockout Punch by Big Show, leaving Rusev knocked out again! In a non-title match, United States Champion Sheamus would face the self-proclaimed “A-Lister” The Miz, with Damien Mizdow in his corner, on RAW. During the match, Sheamus would knock The Miz to the outside and, doing his job as stunt double, Damien Mizdow would feign pain right alongside The Miz, but when Sheamus comes out to retrieve The Miz, both Miz and Mizdow try to escape under the ring and the United States Champion manages to pull Mizdow out from under the ring while The Miz disappears under the ring. As Sheamus blasts Mizdow with the Brogue Kick, The Miz would come out on the other side of the ring, quickly sliding into the ring as the referee reaches his ten-count, giving The Miz the win by count-out. After the match, Sheamus would chase The Miz and his stunt double from the ring, enraged over having lost in ridiculous fashion. With Rosa Mendes and RAW Guest Star Nene Leakes in their corner, Natalya, Naomi, & Brie Bella would face Summer Rae, Cameron, & Nikki Bella in a 6-Diva Tag Match. In the end, it was Brie Bella hitting the Bella Buster on Nikki Bella, pinning her sister to pick up the win for her team. With Triple H & Stephanie McMahon seated at ringside, it was time for the huge main event as fifteen-time former World Champion John Cena would go one-on-one with “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose in a No Holds Barred Contract-on-a-Pole Match where there would be no pinfalls, no submissions, no count-outs, and no disqualifications with the only way for the match to end is when one man successfully retrieves the contract hanging from the pole positioned in the corner of the ring and the winner of the match would go on to face Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell at WWE Hell in a Cell while the loser would face Randy Orton in the other Hell in a Cell Match! However, before the match begins, both Randy Orton & Seth Rollins make their way to ringside with an invested interest in the match before they are followed by the Director of Operations Kane, all three of which join Triple H & Stephanie at ringside as the match gets underway! During the match, the fight between John Cena and Dean Ambrose would spill to the outside where Dean Ambrose would toss Cena into the ringside barricade before Randy Orton gets in Ambrose’s face, asking why Ambrose doesn’t just go for the contract and “The Lunatic Fringe” responds by popping Orton with a right hand! This raises the ire of Kane, but before The Authority can retaliate, Cena takes Ambrose down from behind, leading to a face-off between Cena and The Authority. Cena then takes Ambrose and tosses him into The Authority, taking down Kane, Orton, and Seth Rollins! Cena then heads back into the ring, but Randy Orton is not far behind as “The Viper” attacks Cena, followed shortly by Dean Ambrose, who is then followed by Kane and Rollins. A brawl breaks out between the five men before Cena and Ambrose toss Orton and Rollins out of the ring. Cena then plants Kane with the Attitude Adjustment, but as Cena gets to his feet, Dean Ambrose climbs to the top rope, putting his hand on the contract as Cena stares at Ambrose. However, when Cena makes a move towards Ambrose, “The Lunatic Fringe” unhooks the contract, winning the match and getting Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell in two weeks while Cena gets Orton in the same structure at WWE Hell in a Cell! After the match, John Cena would stand ready to fight Randy Orton while Dean Ambrose locks his gaze upon Seth Rollins on the stage, both men ready for their impending trips to hell.
