WWE: SmackDown staying on Friday nights after allBy Cassidy| September 7, 2014 Wrestling News After it was reported a couple of weeks ago that SmackDown would be returning to Thursday nights starting in October, PWInsider.com is reporting that Syfy has apparently changed their minds about the change and SmackDown will be remaining in its Friday night time slot. Evidently, WWE was even anticipating a move back to Thursday nights for SmackDown as a picture was tweeted out featuring a repainted production truck, altered to reflect the new time slot. Syfy is most likely keeping SmackDown on Friday nights to keep their top wrestling show from having to compete with the NFL, which airs a game every Thursday night. In addition, Syfy’s official Twitter account revealed that Season Five of their original series, Haven, will be moving to Thursday nights at 8/7c, essentially squashing any potential move for SmackDown. Syfy.com has also updated their TV schedule, confirming that SmackDown is staying put. What night do you want to see SmackDown on? Post your comments in the box below.
