Fresh off a triumphant victory over Seth Rollins on RAW, Roman Reigns would be looking to build momentum towards his rematch with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” at Night of Champions as “The Juggernaut” would go one-on-one with the undefeated “Hero of the Russian Federation” Rusev on SmackDown! They were tag team partners on RAW, but two nights before they join AJ Lee in a Triple Threat Match for the Divas Championship at Night of Champions, Divas Champion Paige would go one-on-one with Nikki Bella in a non-title match on SmackDown. Also, before their respective title matches at Night of Champions, Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler would team with United States Champion Sheamus to face the #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Title, The Miz, and the #1 Contender for the United States Title, Cesaro. After Luke Harper & Erick Rowan got involved in Big Show’s one-on-one match with Bray Wyatt on RAW, “The World’s Largest Athlete” would be bringing back-up on SmackDown as Big Show would enlist the help of Los Matadores to face all three members of The Wyatt Family, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, & Erick Rowan, in a 6-Man Tag Match.
