WWE: RAW scores lowest television rating of the yearBy Cassidy| September 23, 2014 Wrestling News PWTorch is reporting that last night’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW scored the lowest television rating of 2014 thus far as the post-Night of Champions RAW scored a 2.69 rating. This is the latest in a downward trend for WWE’s top TV show as last week’s RAW scored a 2.79 and RAW two weeks ago scored a 2.88. This week’s 2.69 rating is RAW’s lowest rating since December 23 of last year as WWE continues to face (and lose) to the competition as RAW airs at the same time as Monday Night Football and Fall Season Premieres of new TV shows on other networks. While WWE has consistently been competing with the NFL and other primetime shows for several years now, the lowering interest in the WWE product from WWE’s key demographics (namely the 18-49 male crowd) has been hurting RAW for months now and, with the NFL season now underway, WWE will certainly have to find a way to step the product up to try and bring back their viewers. In addition to Monday Night Football, last night’s RAW faced competition from NBC’s “The Voice”, the premiere of the FOX series “Gotham”, “Dancing with the Stars” on ABC, and “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” on VH1 as, in addition to hurting RAW’s television rating, these four shows beat RAW in the Twitter ratings as more people were talking about these shows than RAW on social media.
