WWE RAW Results: September 29, 2014By Cassidy| September 30, 2014 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results With problems abound surrounding Dean Ambrose and his theft of the Money-in-the-Bank, RAW kicks off with The Authority as WWE COO Triple H & WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon make their way to the ring. Amid raucous chants of “CM Punk” in the hometown of the former WWE Superstar, Stephanie says that they like to cheer for “quitters”, saying that they can relate to quitters because they would rather quit than fail instead of digging in deep and “fighting for what you believe in”. Stephanie continues, saying that they “give up” on themselves and they either “quit” or “steal”. This brings Stephanie to the subject of Dean Ambrose, saying that Ambrose’s theft of the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase is nothing more than a “message” to The Authority, saying that Ambrose’s theft will “not be tolerated”. Triple H then says that the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase represents this business and they will not let anyone “disrespect” this business. To an explosive reaction from the Chicago crowd, Paul Heyman interrupts The Authority, saying that it’s funny that the COO mentioned “disrespect” because Brock Lesnar feels disrespected by the notion that John Cena was close to defeating “The Beast” and he also feels disrespected because The Authority’s “boy”, Seth Rollins, hit Lesnar with the Curb Stomp before attempting to cash in the Money-in-the-Bank contract. Getting in the ring, Heyman says that the WWE World Heavyweight Champion has sent him to Chicago to find out if “The Beast” has a problem with Seth Rollins or if Lesnar has a problem with The Authority. Stephanie then interrupts Heyman, advising the advocate to choose his next words very carefully before the proceedings are interrupted by “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins. Without his briefcase, a visibly frustrated Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring, saying that no one in The Authority instructed him to attempt the cash-in at Night of Champions, saying that he “acted alone”. Rollins says that he is trying to “build a career” the same way that Paul Heyman has tried to build a career, saying that he can speak for mostly everyone when he says that no one wanted to see John Cena win the WWE World Heavyweight Title again. Rollins continues, saying that he wanted to beat the “best” and the best is Heyman’s client, Brock Lesnar, and Lesnar should be “flattered” by what happened at Night of Champions, but if the champion is offended, then he wants to say that he is “truly sorry”. Rollins then shakes hands with Paul Heyman before Heyman states that, if it happens again, then Seth Rollins will not be dealing with Heyman, he will be dealing with Brock Lesnar himself. Having done what he was told to do, Paul Heyman was ready to leave the ring, but he is halted by Triple H, who gets in the advocate’s face, telling Heyman that he really enjoyed their conversation and telling the frightened Heyman to “have a nice night”. Paul Heyman then scurries to the back, Seth Rollins says that he appreciates Triple H & Stephanie coming out there to “chastise” Dean Ambrose on his behalf, saying that Ambrose does not respond to situations like a normal person would. Rollins says that, despite what Ambrose thinks, it is not funny, saying that there are “personal items” of his in that briefcase that need to be returned to him, demanding that “The Lunatic Fringe” return his briefcase to him right now or else what he did to Ambrose last month will be nothing compared to what he will do when he gets his hands on Ambrose this time. Dean Ambrose then appears on the big screen, saying that seeing Seth Rollins stand side-by-side with The Authority makes him sick, simply telling “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” that, if he wants the briefcase, then he should come get it. Triple H, Stephanie, & Seth Rollins then exit the ring, getting to the ramp before John Cena comes out, attacking Seth Rollins, who quickly slips away, escaping through the crowd and regrouping with Triple H & Stephanie on the stage as The Authority mocks John Cena. Backstage, Triple H & Stephanie McMahon are with Seth Rollins as Triple H instructs agents Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury to go and retrieve the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase, saying that they don’t care how they do it, they just need to get it done. Noble asks Triple H for a couple of sledgehammers, but the COO tells the agent that thinking is not his specialty, denying the request and telling them to just get the briefcase back. Following a controversial title defense against Cesaro on SmackDown and with The Miz still owed a rematch for the title, the opening match of the night would see Dolph Ziggler defend the Intercontinental Championship against “The A-Lister” The Miz, with Damien Mizdow in his corner, and “The King of Swing” Cesaro in a Triple Threat Match, where the first man to score a pinfall or submission will leave as the Intercontinental Champion! During the match, Damien Mizdow would grab the leg of Dolph Ziggler and Dolph would take the stunt double out with a baseball slide before the match continues. Later on in the match, The Miz would climb to the top rope, but when he dives off, he is caught in mid-air with the signature European uppercut by Cesaro. Cesaro then knocks Damien Mizdow off of the apron, but the momentary distraction would pay off for “The Show-Off” as Dolph Ziggler blasts Cesaro with a super kick before quickly pinning The Miz, scoring the three-count to win the match and successfully retain the Intercontinental Title. In a bizarre message from The Wyatt Family, an eerie video plays on RAW as Bray Wyatt narrates the strange images prominently featuring Bray and Luke Harper, saying that he “found” Luke Harper and all he had was “broken memories”. Bray then says that he gave Harper a reason to “exist” and he “fixed” Harper, but now he is sending Harper out into the world. Luke Harper then says he is going to piece himself back together with “pieces of you” before Bray says that Luke Harper has been “set free” before Harper utters, “peek-a-boo, you’re doomed!” Backstage, Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury return to Triple H & Stephanie claiming that they have looked everywhere for Dean Ambrose, but the mustard on Noble’s face tells a different story and the Principal Owner gives the two agents a strong incentive, either find Dean Ambrose and the briefcase or they will be fired! As Tyson Kidd & Natalya continue to have marriage troubles, Tyson Kidd & Natalya would be in the corner of Rosa Mendes as Rosa goes one-on-one with Layla, with Summer Rae in her corner. In the end, it was Layla hitting the Lay Out on Rosa Mendes, pinning Rosa for the win. After the match, Natalya would get her husband’s attention by taking his phone away. With Seth Rollins’ Money-in-the-Bank briefcase and a duffel bag in hand, Dean Ambrose makes his way to the ring on RAW, setting up a table in the ring and placing the briefcase on it. “The Lunatic Fringe” says that he was up in the concession stands the entire time, but The Authority’s agents walked right past him eating a hot dog. Ambrose then says that he is going to have a “clearance sale”, opening the duffel bag to reveal several shirts. In the middle of his “clearance sale”, agents Jamie Noble & Joey Mercury come out to the ring, demanding that Ambrose throw the briefcase to them. However, Ambrose refuses, telling them to come in the ring and get the briefcase themselves, but the agents drop off of the apron, heading to the back. Ambrose then continues his clearance sale, saying that he stole the shirts anyways, so the fans can have the shirts for free! “The Lunatic Fringe” then goes about tossing the stolen shirts to the crowd before Seth Rollins comes out, flanked by Jamie Noble, Joey Mercury, and a wall of security guards. With Seth Rollins safely standing behind the wall of men, Dean Ambrose rolls out of the ring, telling Seth Rollins he can have the briefcase back, saying that he doesn’t want any problems. “The Lunatic Fringe” then backs up into the crowd as Seth Rollins cautiously enters the ring, but when Rollins opens the briefcase, he is sprayed in the face with green slime! With even Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury laughing at Seth Rollins’ humiliation, an enraged Rollins screams at the agents that he “looks like a jerk”, telling Noble & Mercury that this is their fault before Rollins storms out of the ring while Ambrose continues to smirk at Rollins’ embarrassment. Backstage, Randy Orton and Kane are laughing at Seth Rollins and, after Rollins leaves to get his eyes rinsed out due to Ambrose’s prank, WWE COO Triple H tells Kane and Orton to find somebody to inform Dean Ambrose and John Cena that they will be competing against Kane & Orton tonight. Orton says that they have to fight Rollins’ battles again this week, but Triple H says that Seth Rollins is in no condition to compete, saying that Orton and Kane should want redemption for what happened last week. The discussion is then cut short by the sound of something vibrating. After Triple H & Stephanie confirm that their phones were not the source of the sound, The Authority turns to look at the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase before Seth Rollins comes back into the office, grabbing the briefcase and claiming he has an “electric razor” in the briefcase! After two crushing defeats at the hands of Rusev last week, Mark Henry would appear on RAW, but “The World’s Strongest Man” would barely get a few words out before he’s interrupted by his opponent, Bo Dallas. Bo Dallas says that Mark Henry should apologize to himself, saying that Henry tapped out, passed out, and even cried his eyes out, telling Mark Henry to close the Hall of Pain and join the “Hall of the Bo-lievers”! Entering the ring, Bo Dallas says that being a “bo-liever” means never having to say you’re “sorry”. The match then gets underway as a fired-up Mark Henry dominates Bo Dallas, but when Mark Henry goes for a big splash off of the middle turnbuckle, Bo Dallas moves out of the way and “The World’s Strongest Man” meets nothing but canvas. Bo Dallas then follows this up with the Bo Dog, pinning Mark Henry to pick up a major upset over “The World’s Strongest Man”. Moments after his big win over Mark Henry, Bo Dallas is being interviewed backstage when in irate Mark Henry attacks the self-proclaimed “inspiration”, tossing Bo Dallas into a door and on top of an anvil case. Henry then places Dallas against an anvil case before twice crushing the body of Dallas by slamming another anvil case into Bo! Brie Bella was set for action on RAW, but what Brie gets is her sister, Nikki, as Nikki says that Brie quitting back in June “really worked out” well for Brie Bella since her husband, Daniel Bryan, is at home recovering. Nikki then says that Brie quit for herself, saying that when she was put in multiple Handicap Matches, Brie was nowhere to be found. Nikki then reveals that The Authority has allowed her to let Brie know that she will be competing in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match tonight as Brie Bella would face both Cameron & Eva Marie. With Nikki Bella watching from the stage, the Handicap Match would get underway. Despite the odds, Brie Bella would shove Cameron into Eva Marie, knocking Eva off of the apron and rolling Cameron up to pick up the win, much to the rage of her sister. With Adam Rose a guest on commentary with The Bunny by his side, Heath Slater & Titus O’Neil would bring Hornswoggle out dressed as a miniature alligator as Slater & O’Neil would face Los Matadores, with El Torito in their corner. In the end, Slater & Gator would take advantage of some shenanigans between the mini alligator and El Torito as Heath Slater would roll Diego up for the win. After the match, the miniature alligator would use the gator roll on El Torito, but Adam Rose & The Bunny would intervene, taking Heath Slater out before The Bunny hits a splash on Slater. After being knocked out by Big Show on SmackDown, “The Hero of the Russian Federation” Rusev would appear on RAW with Lana by his side. Lana says that Big Show attacked Rusev from behind in the most “cowardly way”, but Big Show is quick to interrupt as “The World’s Largest Athlete” comes out to the stage. Big Show says that the “propaganda machine” that Rusev & Lana runs works really well, but they all know that it is a “bunch of crap”. Deciding to speak for himself, Rusev tells Big Show that he will “break every bone” in Big Show’s body before beginning to speak in Russian. Big Show cuts off the big Russian, saying that he is going to make like the Big Lebowski and knock down a “white Russian”. Big Show then marches to the ring, but when Big Show enters the ring, Rusev exits the ring. Big Show then taunts Rusev & Lana, putting his hands on the giant Russian flag that was hanging over the ring, pulling the giant flag down! This enrages Rusev, who, after two failed attempts, finally gets into the ring only to get tossed right back out of the ring by “The World’s Largest Athlete”! Divas Champion AJ Lee was set for action on RAW, but Paige would come out before the match, saying that certain people have taken her “kindness” for a “weakness” before saying that she would like to introduce AJ Lee to her opponent and her new best friend, Alicia Fox! With Paige in her corner, Alicia Fox would go one-on-one with Divas Champion AJ Lee in a non-title match. In the end, it was a distraction by Paige that would allow Alicia Fox to take advantage, hitting the Scissors Kick on AJ Lee en route to picking up the win over the Divas Champion. After the match, Paige would plant AJ Lee with the Ram Paige before placing the Divas Title on AJ Lee and exiting the ring with her new best friend. In a match set up by The Authority earlier in the night, United States Champion Sheamus would go one-on-one with The Miz’s stunt double, Damien Mizdow, with The Miz a guest on commentary, in a non-title match. During the match, Sheamus would toss Damien Mizdow into The Miz at ringside before bringing Mizdow back into the ring, hitting the Brogue Kick on the stunt double, pinning the stunt double for the win. Backstage, WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon attempts to manipulate Randy Orton and Kane, saying that a lot of people are saying that Orton and Kane have “gone soft” and they are not as sadistic as they used to be. Kane sees right through the attempt, asking Stephanie if “they” are saying that or if she is saying that and the Principal Owner asks if it really matters. Then it was time for the main event as the two men gunning for Seth Rollins would have to deal with The Authority as John Cena would team with “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose to face “The Viper” Randy Orton and The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane. At the end of a wild match, Dean Ambrose would hit Dirty Deeds on Randy Orton, but before he could score the three-count, Seth Rollins hits the ring, attacking Ambrose and ending the match by disqualification. After the match, Kane and Seth Rollins would attempt a beat-down of John Cena and Dean Ambrose, but Ambrose would battle back, taking Kane out on the outside before chasing Rollins around the ring. Rollins then gets into the ring and is briefly halted by John Cena, allowing Ambrose to get a few shots in on Rollins before Randy Orton comes in, attacking “The Lunatic Fringe”. However, John Cena would toss Orton out of the ring before cornering Seth Rollins, pummeling “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” in the corner, but Dean Ambrose would jump in, getting a piece of Rollins. This would spark a brief battle between Cena and Ambrose over who would get their hands on Rollins with Ambrose even tossing Cena out of the ring! However, Orton was quick to act, hitting the RKO on Dean Ambrose. At the instruction of Seth Rollins, Kane then delivers a chokeslam to Ambrose before Kane and Orton hold “The Lunatic Fringe” in place, allowing Rollins to send Ambrose face-first into the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase with the Curb Stomp! Cena then rushes the ring, briefly fighting the odds before Orton again saves the day with the RKO to Cena, followed the same formula used to take Dean Ambrose out as Kane plants Cena with a chokeslam before Seth Rollins sends Cena skull-first into the briefcase, as well! The Authority then stands tall over the motionless bodies of John Cena and Dean Ambrose as Seth Rollins again uses his connection with The Authority to destroy his two adversaries.
