Sean O’Haire’s cause of death revealedBy Cassidy| September 11, 2014 Wrestling News After the sad news broke Tuesday evening that former WCW World Tag Team Champion Sean O’Haire (Sean Haire) passed away at the age of 43 in his home in Spartanburg, SC, ETOnline.com is now reporting that Sean O’Haire’s death on Monday has been ruled a suicide as the former WWE Superstar was found, by his father, in his bedroom with a rope tied around his neck, according to local Spartanburg police. The three-time tag team champion’s obituary describes O’Haire as “a gentle and kind person that studied Buddhism and was employed as a personal trainer at Exzel Fitness in Spartanburg”. Friends and colleagues have been tweeting about the passing of Sean O’Haire as his former tag team partner Chuck Palumbo tweeted out yesterday, “#RIPSeanOHaire tag team parter #wcw #wwf #naturalbornthrillers” while the gym that Sean O’Haire worked at posted the following on their Facebook page, “It is with much sadness that we have lost our very special friend, Sean Haire. Prayers go out to all his family and friends. He will be missed!” O’Haire’s former employer, WWE, also posted a message on their website, “WWE extends its condolences to Sean Christopher Haire’s family, friends and fans on his passing. Haire performed under the name “Sean O’Haire,” and was under contract with WWE from 2001-2004.” UPDATE: In a report posted by TMZ.com, Sean O’Haire reportedly suffered from an alcohol addiction prior to his death as, over the last six years, O’Haire served six stints in WWE-sponsored rehab. The report states that Sean O’Haire went to rehab for a seventh time earlier this year, but after his final stint was completed, WWE was unable to reach O’Haire.
