WWE RAW Results: May 12, 2014By Cassidy| May 13, 2014 WWE Raw “Is That All You Got?” The 1094th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you, live, from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC. After being stalked by the demonic Kane throughout last week’s RAW in what emulated a classic horror movie, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan and his wife, Brie Bella, are certainly still in the crosshairs of “The Devil’s Favorite Demon”. As Kane continues to torment the couple, Daniel Bryan will certainly be on high alert for the monster, but how long can the champion keep himself and Brie out of the reach of Kane? What role will Stephanie McMahon play on this week’s RAW as her motives continue to raise suspicion from Daniel Bryan and the WWE fans? Ever since Evolution lost to The Shield at Extreme Rules, WWE COO and Evolution leader Triple H has stepped it up in his efforts to destroy The Shield. On last week’s RAW, the COO forced Dean Ambrose to defend the United States Title in a 20-Man Battle Royal and, while Ambrose fought valiantly to the final two competitors, a Brogue Kick from Sheamus would ensure a new United States Champion. That very same night, Evolution cost The Shield a match against The Wyatt Family before laying waste to Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns and, as if that wasn’t enough, Triple H put the injured members of The Shield in one-on-one matches on SmackDown as Dean Ambrose fell to Sheamus in a rematch for the United States Title, Seth Rollins got destroyed by Evolution’s Batista, and Roman Reigns barely survived a match against Mark Henry. What lengths will Evolution go to this week in their plan to systematically destroy The Shield? Despite his victory over John Cena in a Steel Cage Match at Extreme Rules, Bray Wyatt has made it abundantly clear that he is not through with the polarizing Superstar and his creepy sermons every week continue to pull in more and more WWE fans to his cause. After Bray Wyatt and his followers, Luke Harper & Erick Rowan, defeated John Cena and WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos on SmackDown, The Wyatt Family seems well on their way to taking over WWE and tarnishing the legacy of John Cena in the process. What will Bray Wyatt have in store for John Cena on this week’s RAW? Will John Cena find a way to fight back against the seemingly unstoppable Wyatt Family? Match Results Rob Van Dam (with Adam Rose and the Rosebluds) def. Jack Swagger (with Zeb Colter) by pin following the Five-Star Frog Splash. Non-Title: Paige def. Detailed Results One week after Evolution annihilated them in the middle of the ring following a match against The Wyatt Family, RAW kicks off with The Shield as Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns address Evolution. Dean Ambrose admits that they got beat up last week, but says that they are up more times than they are down before screaming that they want Evolution. Seth Rollins then says that they are not running “from” Evolution, they are running “toward” Evolution and, if Evolution accepts their challenge for a rematch, they will run right “through” Evolution! Rollins continues, saying that they are going to “hunt” Evolution down, admitting that Evolution “were” really good. Rollins says that, in its present state, Evolution cannot “evolve” into what it takes to beat The Shield. Rollins then spots Roman Reigns angrily pacing back-and-forth, giving the microphone to Reigns and allowing him to say his piece. Reigns says that everything that Evolution did to him last week made him think, asking Evolution if that is all they’ve got! Reigns elaborates that, if that is the best that Evolution can do, then they have a “serious problem” and they can serve their brand of justice very “slowly”, vowing that he will make Evolution “believe” in The Shield and believe in him. The Shield’s attention is then drawn to the tron where a limo arrives backstage and, as soon as The Shield sees WWE COO Triple H step out of the limo, they are on their way to the back. Backstage, Triple H is handed a clipboard with some paperwork on it, signing the papers before making his way into the arena with Randy Orton and Batista in tow. However, Evolution would not get very far from their limo before they are jumped by The Shield! Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns wail away at Triple H, Batista, & Randy Orton before officials and referees storm the area, pulling The Shield off of Evolution. Before Jack Swagger went one-on-one with Rob Van Dam on RAW, Zeb Colter would again try to present his “deportation list”. With newcomer Adam Rose’s name now added to the list, Colter calls Adam Rose’s “rosebuds” a group of “dirty hippes” and “leftover Rocky Horror Picture Show rejects”, saying that anyone who hangs around with a “full-grown bunny” has very questionable “morals” and offers “nothing substantial” to society before warning Adam Rose to keep his distance. However, just as the match begins, an eclectic group of “rosebuds” come out to the stage, dressed in costumes ranging from a lemon to a Greek god to Waldo to a man dressed as a hamburger! Adam Rose then leads his party to ringside as the group of colorful “rosebuds” carries Adam Rose around ringside. The display distracts Jack Swagger, allowing Rob Van Dam to deliver a kick to the face of Swagger, following it up with the Five-Star Frog Splash to pick up the win. For the first time since Extreme Rules, the Divas Champion was in action on RAW as Paige went one-on-one with Alicia Fox in a non-title match. Before the match gets underway, Alicia Fox tells Paige that none of the Divas in the back like her, telling Paige to “get out” before popping Paige with a microphone. After a brief beatdown, the referee asks Paige if she wants to start the match and the champion insists that the match begin. Alicia Fox would dominate the entire match, but it was Paige who would wait for the right opportunity to hit the Paige Turner, pinning Fox to pick up the win. After the match, Alicia Fox would throw a temper tantrum, spraying JBL’s drink everywhere and tearing up the announce position before prancing away, wearing JBL’s cowboy hat. After he and Brie Bella were stalked throughout last week’s RAW by Kane, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan would appear on RAW to address the situation. Daniel Bryan says that he knew from the moment that he first won the WWE Championship at SummerSlam, he knew it would be an “uphill battle”. Bryan says that The Authority threw everybody at him, but thanks to the fans, he survived through it all and walked out of WrestleMania as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The champion continues, saying that, as soon as he got back from his honeymoon, he got the worst beating of his life at the hands of Kane, but he was determined to beat Kane and, at Extreme Rules, he did just that. Bryan says that his “style” comes with a price and he has paid that price with his body. Daniel Bryan then drops a bombshell, saying that he will be forced to undergo neck surgery this Thursday! This unexpected announcement drives the air out of the WWE fans as an emotional Daniel Bryan continues, saying that he is not happy about the surgery because it has been his lifelong dream to become the champion in WWE. Bryan says that there are some people who are happy about it, people like Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, & Kane and, to them, it seems like his career is pretty much done. Bryan admits that there is a chance that his career could be over, but promises that it won’t be. Bryan says that he does not know when he will come back, but says that the fans already know the answer as to if he will come back, leading the fans in chanting “yes”. In a rematch from Friday’s SmackDown, John Cena would join forces with WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos to face all three members of The Wyatt Family, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, & Erick Rowan, in a 6-Man Tag match. In the end, Bray Wyatt would look for the Sister Abigail on John Cena, but The Usos would blast Bray Wyatt with a pair of super kicks and, after The Usos take Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper out on the outside, Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment on Erick Rowan, pinning Rowan to pick up the win for himself and The Usos. After the match, Bray Wyatt actually thanks John Cena, telling Cena that he has made him realize what he must do. After being attacked backstage by The Shield earlier in the night, Evolution would make an appearance on RAW as WWE COO Triple H, Batista, & Randy Orton make their way to the ring. Randy Orton tells Triple H that he has had enough, telling the COO that it is time to put the hounds to “sleep” and Batista agrees with Orton’s statement. Triple H says that he made The Shield into something, but they got a little too big for themselves. Triple H says that he is “disappointed” in them, saying that their ambush earlier was the “last straw” and The Shield is “undisciplined”. Triple H continues, saying that, if The Shield wants a rematch at Payback, then they’ve got it, but this time will be different. Triple H explains that, now, the gloves are off and Evolution will do what they do best as they will take each member of The Shield out one by one. Triple H continues, saying that they will make sure that Roman Reigns will not come back from Payback! Evolution’s speech is then interrupted by The Shield as Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns again ambush Evolution, clearing the ring of Triple H, Batista, & Randy Orton! After regrouping on the stage, Batista snatches the microphone away from Triple H, screaming at The Shield that he has had “enough” of The Shield before challenging Roman Reigns to a one-on-one match tonight! With Brie Bella, Naomi, Cameron, & Eva Marie at ringside, Nikki Bella would go one-on-one with Natalya on RAW. In the end, it was Nikki Bella sitting out on a roll-up attempt by Natalya, pinning Natalya for the win. As decided by a coin toss between Ryback & Curtis Axel, Curtis Axel, with Ryback in his corner, would go one-on-one with new United States Champion Sheamus in a non-title match. In the end, it was Sheamus locking in the Cloverleaf, forcing Curtis Axel to tap out. As soon as the bell rang, Ryback was in the ring as Ryback blasts Sheamus from behind, beating the United States Champion down until the referee separates the two. Moments after being attacked by Ryback following his victory over Curtis Axel, United States Champion Sheamus would accept a challenge to go one-on-one with Ryback, with Curtis Axel in his corner, in a non-title match. In the end, even a distraction from Curtis Axel could not help Ryback in the match as Sheamus would blast “The Big Guy” with the Brogue Kick, pinning Ryback for the win. WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon was all smiles as she made her way to the ring on RAW. Stephanie says that Daniel Bryan came out there earlier and told his story, saying that Bryan did all those things he said he did, but now Daniel Bryan has to undergo neck surgery. Stephanie then says that she does not want to be “right” about this, saying that Daniel Bryan is just not an “A+ player”. Stephanie continues, saying that she has been trying to “protect” Daniel Bryan, but Bryan would not listen and her family has no choice but to do what is “best for business”. Stephanie then asks Daniel Bryan to come to the ring because she has something to tell Daniel Bryan and she wants to say it “face to face”. However, after a short wait, pyro would erupt from the stage, signifying the arrival of Kane. As a look of horror comes across the face of Stephanie McMahon, Kane drags a lifeless Daniel Bryan out to the stage, laying Bryan’s motionless body on the stage before leaving. Referees and medical personnel immediately arrive on the scene with a stretcher, followed shortly by Brie Bella. Stephanie McMahon then makes her way to the stage as the EMT’s load Daniel Bryan onto a backboard, strapping Bryan to a stretcher and rolling the champion to the back. The EMT’s then load Daniel Bryan into a waiting ambulance as Brie Bella shoots daggers at Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie then tries to apologize to Brie Bella, but Brie shoves the Principal Owner, telling her to “stay away”! Brie then climbs into the ambulance with her husband before the ambulance drives out of the arena. With Layla in his corner, Fandango would go one-on-one with Dolph Ziggler on RAW. After a distraction from Layla failed to help Fandango, Layla would accidentally get her foot caught on the ring apron, distracting Fandango long enough for Dolph Ziggler to hit the Zig Zag, pinning Fandango for the win. After the match, Fandango tells Layla that Dolph may have won, but Layla has something much more valuable, his heart. Fandango then tells Layla that he loves her before they kiss in the center of the ring. WWE Hall of Famer and Legends House star “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan makes a special appearance on RAW, saying that he is sure that they are all watching Legends House on the WWE Network. However, the legend is quickly interrupted by the arrival of “The Ravishing Russian” Lana, who tells Jim Duggan that Duggan represents America, saying that, much like England, America is the “laughing stock” of the entire world. Lana then says that China has surpassed America in having the largest economy in the world and Rusev is proud to represent Russia. “The Super Athlete” himself, Rusev, then makes his way to the ring with Lana in tow. With two-by-four in hand, Jim Duggan looks ready for a fight, but Lana tells Duggan that he has one chance to “beg for mercy”. The proud Hall of Famer refuses and Rusev takes Duggan’s two-by-four away and breaks it in half over his knee! Lana then instructs Rusev to “crush”, but Big E comes to the aid of the Hall of Famer. However, Big E would prove to be little more than a sacrificial lamb as Rusev squashes Big E in the corner before leveling Big E with a straight kick to the face. Duggan then checks on Big E on the outside of the ring as Rusev stands tall in the ring. In the renewal of an old rivalry, former tag team partners would face off on RAW as Cody Rhodes, with Goldust in his corner, would go one-on-one with Damien Sandow. During the match, Goldust would distract the referee long enough for Cody Rhodes to sneak in a rake to the eyes of Damien Sandow, following it up with the Disaster Kick, pinning Sandow for the win. The Wyatt Family then makes an appearance on RAW as Bray Wyatt says that John Cena’s actions don’t surprise him anymore that people’s egos keep them from succeeding. Bray says that Cena’s powers of “narcissism” keep leading Cena right back to him, asking if this is the time that the “beast” is waiting. Bray says that, last week, Cena vowed to “never give up” and said he would be the “last man standing”. Wyatt continues, saying that he would like to put Cena’s “theory” to the test at Payback, saying that when everything burns down around John Cena, he will be the one left “standing”. Bray then asks Cena how far he is willing to go to take this “devil” down before singing “He’s Got the Whole World in his Hands”. Then it was time for the main event as the respective powerhouses of The Shield and Evolution would square off as The Shield’s Roman Reigns, with Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins in his corner, would go one-on-one with Evolution’s Batista, with Triple H & Randy Orton in his corner. During the match, Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins would dive to the outside, taking Triple H & Randy Orton down. This sparks a brawl on the outside of the ring between The Shield and Evolution. The Shield would get the better of Evolution before rolling Triple H, Batista, & Randy Orton into the ring. Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns would then stomp away at Evolution, but Stephanie McMahon would appear on the stage, calling for backup. This would bring Jack Swagger, Titus O’Neil, Curtis Axel, Ryback, Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, Drew McIntyre, Brodus Clay, Fandango, & Damien Sandow to the ring as the horde of Superstars maul The Shield, overwhelming the three men before tossing Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins to the outside. With Roman Reigns alone in the ring, the mugging would commence as the Superstars pick Roman Reigns up and hold him up while Triple H grabs a steel chair from outside the ring. Triple H would then try to blast Reigns with the chair, but Roman would explode out of the corner with a Spear to the COO! However, the ten-Superstar contingent would immediately jump on Roman Reigns, but Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins would come back into the ring with steel chairs in hand. As Randy Orton quickly hops out of the ring, Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins blast every able body with steel chair shots, breaking down the forces before Dean Ambrose picks up Fandango, hitting the dancing Superstar with the Dirty Deeds on a steel chair! Seth Rollins then picks up Curtis Axel, driving the face of Axel into the steel with the Curb Stomp before Roman Reigns takes Heath Slater down with the Superman Punch, following it up with a Spear to Ryback. The Shield then sends a clear message to Evolution by picking Ryback up and driving Ryback down with their three-man powerbomb! The Shield then stands tall in the ring as an uncertain Evolution looks on, almost fearful of what they had just witnessed from The Shield. What did you think of this week’s RAW?
