Five nights after WWE Elimination Chamber, the 758th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown came to you from the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI. Since returning to win the Royal Rumble Match, Batista’s return to the WWE and subsequent main event title shot at WrestleMania has not set well with the WWE fans, who have booed Batista peppered “The Animal” with chants of “Bootista”, but, on SmackDown, Batista would make a special appearance on his old stomping grounds to address the fans’ newfound hatred of him. Dolph Ziggler by pin following the Batista Bomb. Divas Championship: AJ Lee (c) def. Cameron by submission to the Black Widow to retain. 6-Man Tag: Daniel Bryan & The Usos def. Kane & The New Age Outlaws by Daniel Bryan pinning Billy Gunn following the running knee. Detailed Results Fresh off his victory over Alberto Del Rio at WWE Elimination Chamber, SmackDown kicks off with the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania, “The Animal” Batista. Batista flatly states that he loves this business and he loves the WWE, but he did not come back to the WWE to be “liked”. Batista continues, saying that he did not come back to please the fans, he came back to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, saying that they do not have to support him, but they will have to “deal with it”. “The Animal” says that he is the “best representative” for the WWE, saying that he is a better representative to Hulk Hogan or The Rock. Batista then asks what has happened to the business, asking what happened to the “attitude”. Batista continues, saying that they chant the names of “195 pound wannabes” and, while they chant “yes”, the real answer is “no”. Batista then asks the fans if they think that their heroes are as “good” as him, saying that everything about him screams WWE World Heavyweight Champion. As the fans chant “no”, Batista says that he can “sympathize” with the fans looking at their heroes to make themselves feel better and more empowered. Batista continues, saying to get out of his “world” and, from now on, he will be “systematically destroying” each and every one of their heroes as he makes his way to WrestleMania. Having shown his true colors, “The Animal” was set to leave the ring, but he is halted by the arrival of Dolph Ziggler, who tells Batista that the fans “get behind” who they want, calling Batista a “dinosaur”. Ziggler continues, saying that “dinosaurs become extinct” and, if Batista is looking for the “real men” in the WWE, then he is looking at one right now. Dolph then challenges Batista to a match and Batista laughs before saying that he accepts! Ziggler then hits Batista with a dropkick before sliding out of the ring, leaving an enraged Batista in the ring! After defeating both Jack Swagger and Cesaro at WWE Elimination Chamber and on RAW, Intercontinental Champion Big E would team with “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry to face The Real Americans, with Zeb Colter in their corner, in the opening match of the night. During the match, Cesaro would hit a big suplex on Big E from the ring apron into the ring, but, during the suplex, Jack Swagger would tag himself in, attempting to capitalize on Cesaro’s hard work. The dissention would continue later on in the match as, with Jack Swagger having the Patriot Lock locked in on Mark Henry, Cesaro tags himself into the match like Swagger did earlier, managing to hoist the super heavyweight up, slamming Henry with the Neutralizer, pinning “The World’s Strongest Man” to pick up the win for The Real Americans. After failing to sweet talk SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero into getting the night off, Alberto Del Rio would be in action on SmackDown as “The Mexican Aristocrat” would go one-on-one with “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus. During the match, Christian would decide to make his way to ringside to sit in as a guest on commentary. Later on in the match, Sheamus would lock the Cloverleaf in on Alberto Del Rio, but Christian would attack Sheamus, resulting in the disqualification. After the match, Sheamus would toss Christian out of the ring before delivering the Brogue Kick to Del Rio. However, Christian would slide back into the ring, dropping Sheamus with the Killswitch in the center of the ring. After taking issue with Batista’s attitude towards the WWE fans earlier in the night and challenging Batista to a match, “The Show-Off” would get his wish as Dolph Ziggler would go one-on-one with “The Animal” Batista on SmackDown. Batista would set out to destroy the first of the fans’ “heroes” as “The Animal” plants Dolph Ziggler with three crushing Spinebusters before hitting the Batista Bomb on Ziggler, pinning “The Show-Off” to pick up the win. Following their assault and possible injury of John Cena on RAW, The Wyatt Family would appear on SmackDown as Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, & Erick Rowan would have a message for John Cena. Bray Wyatt says that they break their backs so they can buy fancy clothes and fancy cars to impress the women, saying that women coat makeup all over their faces without realizing that they are just wearing the “mask” that society wants them to wear. Bray says that the man on the billboard is the man who “plays hero” to them all, none other than John Cena. Bray continues, saying that society tries to “vilify” him because he does what they are afraid to do and, with the “sword of his tongue”, he will “slay this dragon”, telling Cena that it is time to “end this lie” and “follow the buzzards”. Bray Wyatt’s creepy sermon is then interrupted with the arrival of The Shield as Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns arrive to get a piece of The Wyatt Family. The Shield gets on the ring apron as The Wyatt Family stands firmly in the center of the ring, but that is when the WWE COO, Triple H, inexplicably gets involved. Triple H says that their fight is not going to happen now because he has too much money invested in them for the war to happen right now, at least not without some promotion. The COO then announces that, this Monday on RAW, The Shield will get a rematch with The Wyatt Family. Triple H then orders The Shield to “stand down” before making his exit. With a smile on his face, Bray Wyatt orders Luke Harper & Erick Rowan to leave before telling The Shield that they heard what their “daddy” had to say. This comment brings The Shield into the ring as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, & Dean Ambrose are ready to wage war. Despite the orders of Triple H, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose launch themselves to the outside, taking out Harper & Rowan before sliding back into the ring. Before the fight could take place, Bray Wyatt would exit the ring, keeping Harper & Rowan at bay for the time being. With their title match ending in a disqualification at WWE Elimination Chamber, SmackDown would host the rematch as AJ Lee, with Tamina Snuka in her corner, would defend the Divas Title against Cameron. Early on in the match, Cameron would charge at AJ Lee in the corner, but Tamina would push the Divas Champion out of the way. The referee spots Tamina’s involvement, ejecting AJ Lee’s backup from ringside. Despite Tamina’s ejection, AJ Lee would still prevail, forcing Cameron to tap out to the Black Widow to pick up the win and successfully retain the Divas Title. Then it was time for the explosive main event as Daniel Bryan would team with The Usos to face Director of Operations Kane and WWE Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws in a 6-Man Tag match. At the end of a wild match, Billy Gunn would hit the FameAsser on Daniel Bryan, but Bryan would kick out and, moments later, Daniel Bryan would hit the running knee on Billy Gunn, pinning the WWE Tag Team Champion to pick up the win for himself and The Usos.
