Two nights before WWE Elimination Chamber, the 757th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown came to you from the World Arena in Colorado Springs, CO. Before they join John Cena, Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton in the Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus and “Captain Charisma” Christian would go one-on-one on SmackDown. Match Results Daniel Bryan def. Jack Swagger by pin following the running knee. Daniel Bryan def. Cesaro by DQ after Kane interferes. 6-Man Tag: The Wyatt Family def. Goldust, Cody Rhodes, & Rey Mysterio by Bray Wyatt pinning Goldust following the Sister Abigail. Dolph Ziggler (with Darren Young) def. Titus O’Neil by roll-up. Jimmy Uso def. Road Dogg by pin following a super kick. Sheamus def. Christian by pin following White Noise. Detailed Results With his shoulder heavily bandaged following the vicious attack by Kane on RAW, Daniel Bryan kicks off the show as Bryan would go one-on-one with the #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Title, Jack Swagger, with Zeb Colter & Cesaro in his corner. Not surprisingly, Jack Swagger would target the injured left shoulder of Daniel Bryan throughout the match, but Daniel Bryan would come out of nowhere with a knee to the face of Swagger, pinning Swagger to pick up the win. After the match, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero would come out with Director of Operations Kane at her side, announcing that she is giving Daniel Bryan the “opportunity” to wrestle another match, this time against Cesaro, and that match starts now! Despite narrowly surviving a match against Jack Swagger moments earlier, Daniel Bryan would be forced to go one-on-one with his fellow Elimination Chamber challenger Cesaro, with Zeb Colter & Jack Swagger in his corner. During the match, Daniel Bryan would get knocked to the outside and Jack Swagger would grab a steel chair, ready to attack. However, the referee would spot Swagger and would eject both Swagger and Zeb Colter from ringside. Later on in the match, cameras catch a brawl erupting backstage between Jack Swagger and Intercontinental Champion Big E. With Swagger and Colter ejected and Director of Operations Kane now seated at ringside, the match continues. Similar to the match with Jack Swagger, Daniel Bryan would suffer further injury to his shoulder at the hands of Cesaro, but would come out of nowhere with the running knee to Cesaro. Before Daniel Bryan could capitalize, Kane slides into the ring, planting Daniel Bryan with a chokeslam! After the match, the Director of Operations smiles as he announces Daniel Bryan is the winner of the match via disqualification. As Kane makes his exit, Daniel Bryan struggles to get to his feet, only for Cesaro to attack Bryan, laying Bryan out with the Neutralizer in the center of the ring. Two nights before they collide with The Shield at WWE Elimination Chamber, The Wyatt Family was in action on SmackDown as Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, & Erick Rowan would face the team of Rey Mysterio, Goldust, & Cody Rhodes in a 6-Man Tag match. In the end, it was Bray Wyatt putting Goldust down with the Sister Abigail, pinning “The Bizarre One” to pick up the win for The Wyatt Family. SmackDown would feature a Dance-Off between Emma, with Santino Marella in her corner, and Summer Rae, with Fandango in her corner. After both Divas get a chance to show their dancing skills, the crowd deems Emma as the winner. This sparks an attack from Summer Rae, but Emma quickly tosses Summer out of the ring before shoving Fandango down in the ring. With Darren Young a guest on commentary, Titus O’Neil would go one-on-one with “The Show-Off” Dolph Ziggler on SmackDown. During the match, Darren Young would grab Titus O’Neil’s whistle, distracting Titus long enough for Dolph Ziggler to catch Titus with a roll-up, picking up the win over Titus. Before they challenge The New Age Outlaws for the WWE Tag Team Titles at WWE Elimination Chamber, The Usos were on SmackDown as Jimmy Uso, with Jey Uso in his corner, would go one-on-one with one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Road Dogg, with Billy Gunn in his corner. In the end, it was Jimmy Uso catching Road Dogg with a superkick, pinning Road Dogg for the win. Then it was time for the main event as, two nights before they join John Cena, Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton in the Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Title, “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus would go one-on-one with Christian. Throughout the match, Christian would set his sights on injuring the surgically-repaired shoulder of Sheamus, but Sheamus would battle back, planting Christian with White Noise en route to picking up the win. After the match, Christian would fire the final shot, shoving Sheamus off of the middle turnbuckle to the outside, where Sheamus lands hard on his shoulder.
