DISH Not Airing WWE Elimination Chamber!

Per an online chat session with a DISH Network representative, I have been informed that DISH Network will be airing tomorrow night’s WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. According to WWE.com, Xbox users will not be able to watch the event either. The reason behind this decision from DISH is all due to the WWE Network. The following is a transcript of my chat with the DISH representative:

Raymond (ID: HX7): Hi, my name is Raymond (ID: HX7). How may I help you?

Cassidy: Hello. I was trying to order the pay-per-view event, WWE Elimination Chamber. However, I cannot find it on my receiver or on DISH.com

Raymond (ID: HX7): I will be happy to assist you with your concern, However The PPV event, WWE Elimination Chamber, airing on 2/23/14 is not available for purchase, If only I can give my arm for you to be able to order this.

Raymond (ID: HX7): Please allow me to explain why this is happening.

Raymond (ID: HX7): WWE is not willing to adjust PPV costs to satellite/cable companies, which is unfair to their customers . DISH needs to re-focus efforts to support partners that better serve DISH customers

Raymond (ID: HX7): Honestly , Other satellite/cable companies, including DirecTV, have also expressed they may no longer provide WWE PPV events in the future

Cassidy: So, how am I supposed to watch this event?

Raymond (ID: HX7): Positive note is We do have other availble WWE programming

Raymond (ID: HX7): WWE Elimination Chamber is available to purchase online for $44.99 at http://www.wwe.com

Cassidy: Okay, thank you

Raymond (ID: HX7): WWE has chosen to launch a 24/7 online network, without its TV partners, that includes all of its pay-per-view events. As WWE enters the increasingly fragmented media world by themselves, DISH will continue to consider the value of WWE pay-per-view on an event by event basis.

The bottom line is if you are with DISH, unless you watch the event on WWE.com, the WWE App, or Playstation 3, you will not be able to watch WWE Elimination Chamber tomorrow night. Alternatively you can find out what is happening at the PPV when Tony hosts our WWE Elimination Chamber LIVE BLOG.

Dish is a joke I talked to them and was told they don’t care. That the only reason the will not do it is because they will lose money. EVERYON SWITCH TO DIRECTV AND CABLE AND LETS PUT DISH OUT.

I’m sorry, but this does not come across as an accurate transcript of a conversation with a Customer Services rep.

Believe it or not, the representative actually said that. I was confused by it too, but he did say it.

That’s just mental. I mean, who would say that with a straight face?

You should have asked him to check with his supervisor if he could actually give up an arm in exchange for you getting the show.
