WWE RAW Results: January 13, 2014By Cassidy| January 14, 2014 WWE Raw Family Man No More. The 1077th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you, live, from the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, RI. So far in 2014, there has been no sign of The Authority on RAW and one man has certainly noticed, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton. The self-proclaimed “undisputed face of the WWE” has been up in arms ever since The Authority placed him in a title defense against John Cena at the Royal Rumble, citing that The Authority should have to “consult” him before making matches. Now, on this week’s RAW, Randy Orton will confront Triple H & Stephanie McMahon live on RAW and air his grievances! Also, after miscommunication between Daniel Bryan and his new family led to a loss in 6-Man Tag match, the head of The Wyatt Family, Bray Wyatt, elected to team with his newest recruit, Daniel Bryan, to face The Usos in tag team action. Match Results The Usos def. Bray Wyatt & Daniel Bryan by DQ after Luke Harper & Erick Rowan interfere. John Cena def. Damien Sandow by pin following the Attitude Adjustment. Big Show def. Jack Swagger by pin following the chokeslam. 6-Man Tag: The Shield (with The New Age Outlaws) def. CM Punk & The New Age Outlaws by Roman Reigns pinning CM Punk following the Spear. AJ Lee & Tamina Snuka def. The Funkadactyls by AJ Lee pinning Cameron following the Shining Wizard. Non-Title: Kofi Kingston def. Randy Orton by pin following the S.O.S. Non-Title: Goldust & Cody Rhodes def. Ryback & Curtis Axel by Cody Rhodes pinning Curtis Axel following Cross Rhodes. Alberto Del Rio def. Rey Mysterio by submission to the cross armbreaker. Steel Cage Match: The Usos def. Bray Wyatt & Daniel Bryan by escaping the cage. Detailed Results After last week’s miscommunication between Daniel Bryan and The Wyatt Family, the newest Wyatt Family recruit, Daniel Bryan, would team with his leader, Bray Wyatt, with Luke Harper & Erick Rowan in their corner, to face The Usos to kick off the show. Just as it looked like The Usos might be closing in on a victory over Bray Wyatt & Daniel Bryan, Luke Harper & Erick Rowan hit the ring, attacking The Usos. Harper & Rowan would try and isolate Jey Uso, but Jey would dodge a big splash from Rowan, duck the clothesline from Harper, and blast Daniel Bryan with a super kick before quickly exiting the ring, leaving an angry Wyatt Family in the ring. Bray Wyatt then orders Daniel Bryan to get on his feet before Bray whispers something in Bryan’s ear. Daniel Bryan then kneels down with both arms out-stretched, allowing himself to be hit with the Sister Abigail by his leader! With the assistance of Harper & Rowan, Daniel Bryan would follow Bray to the back. Thirteen nights before he challenges Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble, John Cena was in action on RAW as Cena would go one-on-one with Damien Sandow. In the end, it was John Cena hitting the Attitude Adjustment on Damien Sandow, scoring the three-count for the win. As their struggle for superiority continues, RAW General Manager Brad Maddox confronts Director of Operations Kane, suggesting that Bray Wyatt & Daniel Bryan face The Usos in a rematch tonight, but this time, the match will take place inside a Steel Cage! Kane commends Maddox on the good idea, but the Director of Operations one-ups the GM, saying that, not only will the rematch take place in a Steel Cage tonight, but the door to the cage will be chained shut and Kane himself will be the only one with the key to open it! With a match against “The Beast” Brock Lesnar coming up at the Royal Rumble, “The World’s Largest Athlete” was in action on RAW as Big Show would go one-on-one with Jack Swagger, with Antonio Cesaro & Zeb Colter in his corner. In a dominant display by “The World’s Largest Athlete”, Big Show would plant Jack Swagger with the chokeslam, pinning Swagger for the win. After the match, Antonio Cesaro would try to get the jump on the giant, but when Big Show turned to face Cesaro, Cesaro would make a quick retreat into the crowd. A big smile would then come across the face of Big Show as the giant realizes that Zeb Colter was left standing in the ring. Big Show would grab Zeb by the throat and Cesaro would again try to get the jump on Big Show, but Show would quickly shove Cesaro out of the ring before getting his hands on Colter, smiling and winking at “The Founding Father” before knocking Colter out! In a rematch from Friday’s SmackDown, “The Best in the World” CM Punk would again team with The New Age Outlaws, Road Dogg & Billy Gunn, to face all three members of The Shield, United States Champion Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns, in a 6-Man Tag match. A stellar match would turn into a shocker late in the match as, with CM Punk working with an injured eye and in desperate need of a tag, Punk would try to tag in one of The New Age Outlaws, but when Punk tries to tag out, both Road Dogg & Billy Gunn drop off of the apron and walk out on the match! With CM Punk left all alone against The Shield, Punk would take Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose to the outside, but the numbers game would work against Punk as Roman Reigns would blast Punk with the Spear, pinning Punk to pick up the win for The Shield. After the match, The Shield was set to leave, but Roman Reigns would call his teammates back into the ring, so The Shield could lay Punk out with their three-man powerbomb. In Divas tag action, Divas Champion AJ Lee would team with her bodyguard, Tamina Snuka, to face The Funkadactyls, Cameron & Naomi. In the end, it was AJ Lee hitting the Shining Wizard on Cameron, pinning Cameron for the win. After the match, Tamina Snuka would try to beat Cameron down, but Naomi would hit the ring, taking it to both Divas before hitting the Rear View on the Divas Champion. Backstage, an enraged Randy Orton confronts WWE Director of Operations Kane, demanding to know where The Authority is, saying that he needs to be “protected” because he is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Kane informs Orton that he can take his frustration out on Kofi Kingston tonight. Then it was time for the announcement of the very first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014 as the wild, controversial powerhouse former WWE Champion The Ultimate Warrior will return to the WWE for the first time in eighteen years the night before WrestleMania on April 5 as Warrior takes his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame! With his title defense against John Cena just thirteen nights away, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion was in action on RAW as Randy Orton would go one-on-one with Kofi Kingston in a non-title match. Kofi Kingston would give everything he had in the match, refusing to stay down for the three-count, even after taking several minutes of slow punishment from the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. However, Randy Orton would, perhaps, take too much joy in his methodical destruction of Kofi Kingston as Kofi would surprise “The Viper” with the S.O.S., scoring the three-count over the champion to pick up a major upset! After the match, Randy Orton would go ballistic, kicking the steel steps and ripping apart the announce table, screaming at the fans to “shut up”. Just when it looked like Randy Orton was making the slow walk back to the locker room, “The Viper” would viciously blind-side John Cena’s father, who was in the front row to cheer on his son! Orton would blast the elder Cena with a right hand before punching him a couple more times before security pulls Orton off of Cena’s father. Cena then rushes out, chasing Orton off before Cena summons WWE’s ringside physician to check on his motionless father. The doctor would then call for additional assistance as WWE’s medical staff would fasten a neck brace onto Cena’s father before loading Cena, Sr. onto a stretcher and rolling Cena’s father to an awaiting ambulance as Cena hops into the ambulance to ride with his dad to a local medical facility. Two of the thirty Superstars in the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match in two weeks were in action on RAW as WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust & Cody Rhodes would face Ryback & Curtis Axel in a non-title match. In the end, it was Cody Rhodes hitting the Cross Rhodes on Curtis Axel, pinning Axel to pick up the win for The Brotherhood. In the renewal of an old rivalry, “The Mexican Aristocrat” Alberto Del Rio would go one-on-one with Rey Mysterio on RAW. In the end, it was Alberto Del Rio locking in the cross armbreaker on Rey Mysterio, forcing Rey to tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Alberto Del Rio warns Batista that “The Animal” should think twice about returning next week because he will do to Batista what he just did to Rey Mysterio and he will eliminate Batista in the Royal Rumble Match. Backstage, CM Punk confronts Director of Operations Kane, demanding to know where Triple H & Stephanie McMahon are, but Kane informs Punk that The Authority is not there this evening. Punk then says that he has been dealing with Triple H’s “hired assassins”, The Shield, for the past month and now he has to deal with Triple H’s old DX buddies, The New Age Outlaws, saying it’s a five-on-one situation. Punk continues, saying that the COO does not have to hide behind five guys, nor does he have to hide behind Kane or Stephanie McMahon. Kane says that he is sure that The Authority has no idea what Punk is talking about. In order to get Punk in a different mindset, Kane gets Punk’s attention by saying that Punk could potentially main event this year’s WrestleMania as The Authority is giving Punk the opportunity to win the Royal Rumble Match. Kane then says that, if Punk has a problem with that, then he has a problem with Kane. Punk says that he has no problem with being a part of the Royal Rumble Match, but he does have a problem with Kane! Then it was time for the main event as, for the first time in a year, a Steel Cage Match would take place on RAW as Bray Wyatt & Daniel Bryan, with Luke Harper & Erick Rowan in their corner, would face The Usos inside the steel structure and, per the orders of Kane, the cage door will be chained shut at the Director of Operations himself will be the only one with the key to open it where the only ways to win are by pinfall, submission, or by both members of a team escaping the cage with both feet touching the floor! At the end of an intense Steel Cage Match, it was both teams climbing the sides of the cage, but the key moment would come about when one of The Usos uses a headbutt to knock Daniel Bryan off of the side of the cage and Bryan inadvertently makes contact with Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family patriarch falls in a very tender position on the top rope. With both Bray Wyatt & Daniel Bryan down in the ring, The Usos continue their climb to the outside with one Uso diving onto Erick Rowan on the outside before the other lands with both feet on the floor, securing the victory for The Usos! However, as soon as The Usos are within reach, Luke Harper & Erick Rowan strike, but The Usos are able to avoid a potential assault from The Wyatt Family, escaping with their victory. Back in the ring, both Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan are on their feet and, much like earlier in the night, Bray Wyatt whispers in Bryan’s ear and Bryan kneels with both arms outstretched in the ring, but where the situation differed is, when Bray sets up for the Sister Abigail, Daniel Bryan slips out of the move! As the crowd erupts with chants of “yes” and “Daniel Bryan”, Bray Wyatt screams at Daniel Bryan, daring Bryan to take him out as Bray gets on his knees and sticks his arms out, but after a moment of waiting, Bray gets back to his feet. Bray then shouts at Daniel Bryan, calling him a “coward” before going for a splash on Daniel Bryan. Bryan moves out of the way before unloading with right hands on The Wyatt Family leader. Bray then shoves Bryan back, but Daniel Bryan comes back with multiple running dropkicks before Daniel Bryan wears Wyatt out with kicks to the chest and a last one to the head. As Luke Harper & Erick Rowan struggle to try and rip the cage door off, Daniel Bryan sheds his Wyatt Family garb! After knocking Harper & Rowan off of the sides of the cage, Daniel Bryan builds up a “yes” chant in the corner before running full-force at Bray Wyatt, taking Bray out with the running knee! The newly freed Daniel Bryan then climbs to the top of the cage, chanting “yes” along with the crowd. What did you think of this week’s RAW? Post your comments in the box below.
