Detailed Results SmackDown kicks off with gold on the line as Goldust & Cody Rhodes would defend the WWE Tag Team Championship against The Real Americans, Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro, with Zeb Colter in their corner. Throughout the closing moments of the match, The Real Americans would do everything in their power to try and take the gold as Jack Swagger nearly gets Goldust to tap out to the Patriot Lock and Cody Rhodes would even get taken for a ride with the Cesaro Swing, but the veteran Goldust would survive, hitting the Final Cut on Jack Swagger, pinning Swagger to successfully retain the WWE Tag Team Titles for himself and Cody Rhodes. Now that he is ‘free’ of being a Paul Heyman guy, Ryback would appear on SmackDown. Ryback admits that he enjoys being a “bully”, saying that he could push each and every one of them around and there would be nothing that they could do about it. Ryback then issues an open challenge to anyone in the locker room who wants to face him, but “The Human Wrecking Ball” does not even need to finish his sentence before the challenge is accepted by “The Punjabi Giant” The Great Khali. In the end, it was Ryback drilling the super heavyweight with Shell Shocked en route to picking up the win. Backstage, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero confronts Divas Champion AJ Lee and Tamina Snuka, saying that AJ needs to prove that she is capable of being the “fierce leader” that her Survivor Series team needs and that is why the Divas Champion will face both Cameron & Naomi in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match on SmackDown! Vickie claims that she is not trying to “punish” AJ Lee for what happened between them on RAW, saying she is just doing what is “best for business”, smirking at the Divas Champion. Per the orders of SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero, Divas Champion AJ Lee, with Tamina Snuka in her corner, would face both of The Funkadactyls, Cameron & Naomi, in a 2-on-1 Tornado Handicap Match. During the match, The Funkadactyls would shove Tamina Snuka down on the outside and Tamina would fight back, taking Cameron out of the match on the outside. Later on in the match, Cameron would drop Tamina Snuka off of the apron before AJ Lee knocks Cameron off of the apron. However, the Divas Champion turns right around into the Rear View by Naomi, who pins AJ for the win. After his surprise return on RAW, “The Master of the 619” would return to action on SmackDown as Rey Mysterio would team with The Usos to face The Shield in a 6-Man Tag Match. In the end, it was Rey Mysterio hitting the 619 on Dean Ambrose en route to pinning the United States Champion to pick up the win for himself and The Usos. Two nights before he challenges Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series, the #1 Contender for the WWE Title, Big Show, makes an appearance on SmackDown. Big Show says that he has spent the last few months fighting with The Authority to get his job back in the WWE, saying that he came back to make The Authority’s life a “living hell”. Big Show continues, saying that the best way that he can do that is by re-arranging the “face of the WWE”. Big Show then says that this could very well be his last shot at the WWE Championship, saying that he is going to put it all on the line this Sunday. The #1 Contender is then interrupted by the WWE Champion, Randy Orton, who says that Big Show is “all washed up” and the only reason that Big Show got his job back is because Big Show filed a lawsuit like a “coward”. The WWE Champion then says that, this Sunday at Survivor Series, he is going to “punish” Big Show. Big Show says that Orton is talking a big game from all the way on the stage, daring the champion to face him in the ring. When Orton appears skeptical, Big Show reminds Orton of The Authority’s doubt in him as the “face of the WWE”, showing Triple H’s ruling from RAW that Orton will have no help come Survivor Series. Big Show says that Orton should be a “locker room leader” and Orton should have been the “face of the WWE” a long time ago, but Orton decided to wait for someone to hand him the WWE Championship. Big Show continues, saying that the sad fact is that all Orton is a “spoiled brat”. The WWE Champion argues that he is not a spoiled brat and that he does not need anyone’s help to beat Big Show. Big Show says that he is going to take what Orton covets most, the WWE Championship. Former friends would re-unite for tag team action on SmackDown as the brand new Intercontinental Champion, Big E. Langston, would team with “The Show-Off” Dolph Ziggler to face the team of Curtis Axel and Damien Sandow. In the end, it was Big E. Langston hitting the Big Ending on Damien Sandow en route to picking up the win for himself and Dolph Ziggler. After the match, Curtis Axel would try to take Big E. Langston out with the Intercontinental Title belt, but Big E. Langston would see the attack coming, fending off the attack and knocking Axel out of the ring. Then it was time for the main event as, two nights before he teams with CM Punk to face Luke Harper & Erick Rowan of The Wyatt Family at Survivor Series, Daniel Bryan would go one-on-one with The Wyatt Family’s Luke Harper, with Bray Wyatt & Erick Rowan in his corner, on SmackDown. During the hard-hitting match, a distraction from Bray Wyatt would allow Luke Harper to take advantage in the match. However, this would bring CM Punk out to the stage, distracting The Wyatt Family long enough for Daniel Bryan to surprise Luke Harper with a roll-up for the win. After the match, Luke Harper would blast Daniel Bryan with a big boot to the face as Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan get their hands on CM Punk, rolling Punk into the ring where he is dropped with a clothesline from Harper. Erick Rowan would then squash Daniel Bryan in the corner before Harper & Rowan feed Daniel Bryan to Bray Wyatt, who hits the Sister Abigail on Bryan. Bray then kneels next to Punk and Bryan, shouting at them to “follow the buzzards”. What did you think of this week’s SmackDown? Post your comments in the box below.
