Detailed Results SmackDown kicks off with SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero and RAW General Manager Brad Maddox as Vickie screeches that the anarchy that took place on RAW will not take place on SmackDown before Maddox says that he is there to ensure that Big Show will not and cannot enter the arena. Maddox then says that he has security posted all around the arena to keep Big Show out. Vickie then thanks The Authority for having faith in them. The General Managers were then set to leave the ring, but Daniel Bryan comes out and confronts Vickie & Maddox. Bryan says that he is so glad to see them out there doing what is “best for business” because what is best for business is for him to win the WWE Championship inside Hell in a Cell in nine nights. Bryan then says that he has heard “rumors” that a certain seven-foot giant has made it past Maddox’s security. Bryan then reveals that he is just kidding, saying that Big Show is not in the arena yet, but says that two men that are here are the brand new WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust & Cody Rhodes! Vickie screeches that she demands “order” and “discipline” before making the announcement that the main event will see Daniel Bryan teaming with the Rhodes brothers to face The Shield in a 6-Man Tag Match. After suffering their first loss as a team on last week’s SmackDown, The Wyatt Family would be looking to rebound as Luke Harper & Erick Rowan, with Bray Wyatt seated at ringside, would face the team of The Miz & Kofi Kingston. In the end, it was Luke Harper taking Kofi Kingston out of it with the Discus Clothesline, pinning Kofi to pick up the win for The Wyatt Family. After the match, Luke Harper & Erick Rowan are ready to deal out some damage to The Miz, but Bray Wyatt calls off his “brothers”, instead delivering a message to The Miz, telling Miz that it is okay to be “afraid”. Wyatt then says that he is the “hammer that everybody fears”, telling Miz that they are going to take his “world away”. With her shoulder bandaged up from the attack by AJ Lee & Tamina Snuka on RAW, Brie Bella, with Nikki Bella in her corner, would face Divas Champion AJ Lee, with Tamina Snuka in her corner, in a non-title match. During the match, Tamina Snuka would try to attack Nikki Bella to provide a distraction similar to what she did at Battleground, but Nikki would see it coming, side-stepping Tamina, who collides with the steel steps! Meanwhile, in the ring, Brie Bella hits the facebuster on AJ Lee en route to pinning the Divas Champion for the win. As Lilian Garcia gets ready to announce the next match, the unemployed Big Show comes in through the crowd and, after Lilian hands “The World’s Largest Athlete” a microphone, Big Show shows that he has an “autographed ticket” from Daniel Bryan! Big Show says that he is there to thank the fans for their overwhelming support of him during his tough times, saying that the WWE fans have made The Authority very angry by letting them know that they want Big Show to get his job back. Holding his fist up, Big Show says that his Knockout Punch is what is “best for business”. Flanked by Vickie Guerrero, RAW General Manager Brad Maddox marches to the ring, shouting at Big Show that he is not supposed to be in the arena, telling Big Show to “get out”. Vickie then adds that Big Show was fired and he does not belong in the arena. Maddox then resumes shouting at Big Show, saying that Big Show has already “lost everything”, again ordering the giant to “get out”. Big Show tells Brad Maddox that is the worst thing that he could tell him because he has got “nothing to lose”. With that, Big Show then blasts the RAW General Manager with the Knockout Punch, leaving Brad Maddox out cold as a stunned Vickie Guerrero looks on! Nine nights before he faces Ryback & Paul Heyman in 2-on-1 Handicap Hell in a Cell Match at Hell in a Cell, “The Best in the World” was in action on SmackDown as CM Punk went one-on-one with Big E. Langston. In the end, it was CM Punk fighting out of the Big Ending, landing a kick to the head on Big E. Langston, following it up with the GTS en route to picking up the win. After the match, Paul Heyman comes out with his clients, Ryback & Curtis Axel, in tow, saying that he would like to be the first to congratulate Punk on his victory over a “marginally talented rookie barely out of the NXT division”. Heyman then says that, at Hell in a Cell, Punk will be facing a “professional”, a “caged animal”, in Ryback. Heyman continues, saying that Punk wants no part of Ryback and he certainly wants no part of Paul Heyman, again labeling himself as the “best in the world”. Punk calls Heyman an “idiot”, saying that Heyman will get what is coming to him inside Hell in a Cell before he vows to put Ryback to “sleep”. Punk also vows to put both Ryback and Heyman through “hell” a week from Sunday. Heyman then marches his guys down to ringside where Punk tries to get the jump on Ryback & Curtis Axel, but the odds overwhelm Punk. However, Punk would be saved by an unlikely savior as, livid over the comments made about him by Paul Heyman, Big E. Langston actually fights alongside CM Punk, aiding “The Best in the World” in taking of Paul Heyman’s guys! Before he defends the World Heavyweight Title against the returning John Cena a week from Sunday at Hell in a Cell, World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio makes an appearance on SmackDown, saying that he is “Mexico’s greatest import”. Del Rio says that John Cena should have to start at the bottom just like everybody else, saying that Cena took two months for a “sprained elbow”. The champion then says that, after he beats Cena at Hell in a Cell, Cena will become a “gringo” just like the fans. Del Rio then viciously attacks Josh Mathews, locking in the cross armbreaker on the interviewer! In tag team action, the #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles, Jimmy & Jey Uso, would face The Real Americans, with Zeb Colter a guest on commentary. During the match, Los Matadores would come out to the stage, which brings Zeb Colter out of his seat and to the ramp. Los Matadores then bring El Torito out as the mini-bull “gores” Zeb Colter in the mid-section and in the rear-end. The distraction would pay off for The Usos as Jimmy Uso hits the Superfly Splash on Jack Swagger en route to picking up the win for Jimmy & Jey Uso. After the match, Los Matadores & El Torito take Jack Swagger out, as well. Before the main event, “The Viper” Randy Orton would come out to the stage to confront Daniel Bryan, saying that Daniel Bryan does not have the slightest chance of beating him at Hell in a Cell. Orton then says that, even with the odds in Daniel Bryan’s favor with Shawn Michaels as the Special Referee, he will become the new WWE Champion at Hell in a Cell and he will regain his spot as the “face of the WWE”. Then it was time for the main event as Daniel Bryan would team with the brand new WWE Tag Team Champions, Goldust & Cody Rhodes, to face all three members of The Shield, United States Champion Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns, in a 6-Man Tag Match. During the chaotic match, Seth Rollins would try to powerbomb Cody Rhodes off of the ring apron, but would end up tossing Rhodes into Goldust as both of the WWE Tag Team Champions tumble over the announce table! Shortly after this, it would come down to Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose alone in the ring as Bryan blasts Ambrose with the running knee, pinning the United States Champion to pick up the win for himself, Goldust, & Cody Rhodes.
