WWE: Backstage Heat on The ShieldBy Cassidy| July 26, 2013 Wrestling News It’s no secret that Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns have slid further and further down the card as of late (despite being the United States and WWE Tag Team Champions, respectively) and, now, the F4W Newsletter is reporting that The Shield has been garnering some significant backstage heat recently. Many backstage have taken issue with the egos that Ambrose, Rollins, & Reigns have had since being brought up to the main roster from NXT. Roman Reigns, in particular, has gotten the group in trouble as the tag champion recently got into a shouting match with Randy Orton backstage following a blown spot at a live event and someone in Reigns’ spot on the card arguing with a guy like Randy Orton is seen as majorly disrespectful and is guaranteed to rub people the wrong way. The incident even sparked a struggle for power between WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon and Executive Vice President of Talent and Events Triple H with McMahon wanting to punish The Shield for the argument, while Triple H urged the Chairman to let the trio keep their spots on the card, trying to convince his father-in-law to see the benefits of the group. Should The Shield lose their spots over their attitude? Post your comments in the box below.
