Big WWE News: Chris Jericho Taking Break from WWE!By Cassidy| July 17, 2013 Wrestling News Though initially announced via his Twitter account, @IAmJericho, WWE.com posted an article revealing that six-time World Champion Chris Jericho will be taking a break from the WWE to tour with his band, Fozzy, and will be competing in his last match for a while on this Friday’s SmackDown. Jericho posted the following farewell message on Twitter, “So long to @WWE for now…2013 was one of my favorite in ring yrs ever! Thx for always sticking w Y2J & see u on the road soon w @FOZZYROCK!” Jericho’s current stint with the company started back in January at the Royal Rumble and, since then, Jericho has worked on putting over younger talent or, in the case of CM Punk, returning talent, facing the likes of Fandango (at WrestleMania and again at Extreme Rules), CM Punk (Payback), and Ryback (Money-in-the-Bank), not to mention Jericho’s five-star match with Rob Van Dam on RAW. Jericho’s tweet suggests that we will not be seeing Y2J on WWE television again until 2014. What do you think of Chris Jericho’s departure? Post your comments in the box below.
