Big WWE News: Another ECW Original Returning to WWE?By Cassidy| June 27, 2013 Wrestling News PWInsider.com is reporting that Tazz’s contract with TNA Wrestling is set to expire at the end of the month and the former ECW World Heavyweight Champion is already in talks with the WWE about a return to the company. Nothing is set in stone right now as it is pure rumor at this point, but there have been reports stating that Tazz has already agreed to a one-year contract with the WWE. Tazz (Peter Senercia) jumped ship from the original ECW to WWE in 1999 (though he bailed ECW out of a tough World Title situation when Mike Awesome signed with WCW and was set to take the ECW Title with him). Throughout 2000 and 2001, Tazz would be wrestling less and commentating more, eventually becoming a full-time commentator for the WWE, a position he remained in until his departure in 2009. Tazz would then jump to TNA Wrestling, dropping the second “z” from his name and making his TNA debut as an “on-screen adviser” for Samoa Joe, briefly becoming an associate of the Main Event Mafia stable. TNA would then move Taz to the commentary desk, replacing Don West on commentary and Taz would remain an impartial commentator until January of this year when he was revealed as a member of the heel group Aces & Eights, turning heel while remaining on commentary and revealing that the terms of his contract state that he cannot be harmed or fired. In his legendary career, Tazz is a two-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion, a two-time ECW FTW World Heavyweight Champion (not recognized as an official championship), a two-time ECW World Television Champion, a three-time WWE Hardcore Champion, a one-time WWE World Tag Team Champion (with Spike Dudley), and a two-time ECW World Tag Team Champion (with Kevin Sullivan and Sabu), as well as ECW’s fourth Triple Crown Champion.
