Detailed Results After leading everyone, including WWE Champion John Cena, that he had left the building on RAW, refusing to help the injured Cena combat The Shield, SmackDown kicks off with the #1 Contender for the WWE Title at Extreme Rules, “The Sin City Cyborg” Ryback. Ryback says that he knew that John Cena was hurt, saying that Cena “chose” to put himself at further risk by deciding to compete against The Shield. Ryback continues, saying that the WWE Champion was hobbling like a “weak animal” and, in the jungle, the bigger and stronger animal feeds on the weak. Ryback then concludes by saying, “Ryback rules”. Ryback was also in action on SmackDown as the #1 Contender for the WWE Title went one-on-one with one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Daniel Bryan. In the end, it was Ryback planting Daniel Bryan with Shell Shocked en route to picking up the win over one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions. After losing a Dance-Off to The Great Khali before assaulting “The Punjabi Giant” on RAW, Fandango was in action on SmackDown as “The Dancing Enigma”, with his dance partner Summer Rae in his corner, went one-on-one with Zack Ryder. In the end, it was Fandango hitting the leg drop off of the top rope on Zack Ryder en route to picking up the win. After pinning Zeb Colter in a Triple Threat Match on RAW to allow Alberto Del Rio to pick the stipulation for the Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Title at Extreme Rules, Alberto Del Rio’s personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, with Alberto Del Rio in his corner, went one-on-one with Zeb Colter, with Jack Swagger in his corner, with World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler a guest on commentary, flanked by AJ Lee & Big E. Langston. During the match, Ricardo Rodriguez was in control of the match, but before Rodriguez could further damage Zeb Colter, Jack Swagger hits the ring and attacks Rodriguez, sparking a fight between Del Rio and Swagger. Shortly after this, Senior Advisor Theodore Long comes out and makes the match into a tag match! In an impromptu tag match made by Senior Advisor Theodore Long, Alberto Del Rio would team with Ricardo Rodriguez to face Jack Swagger & Zeb Colter. However, in the middle of the impromptu tag match, Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston would hit the ring, attacking Del Rio and Swagger! Again, Senior Advisor Theodore Long comes out, this time to make it a Triple Threat Tag Match! In an impromptu match made after another impromptu match, World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler and his bodyguard Big E. Langston, Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez, and Jack Swagger & Zeb Colter would square off in a rare Triple Threat Tag Match! At the end of a chaotic Triple Threat Tag Match, it was Alberto Del Rio locking in the cross armbreaker on Dolph Ziggler, making the World Heavyweight Champion tap out to pick up the win for himself and Ricardo Rodriguez! Backstage, there is a clatter of pipes and the sound of blows landing before The Shield shows up with a message for Kane. Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns say that they have broken John Cena and The Undertaker and Kane is next. The Shield says that they put The Undertaker down, but it could have been a lot “worse” and, by the end of the night, Kane will “believe in The Shield”. The trio then drops their camera to reveal that their victim was Kane’s tag team partner, Daniel Bryan! Randy Orton was in action on SmackDown as “The Viper” went one-on-one with Damien Sandow. In the end, it was Randy Orton hitting the RKO on Damien Sandow en route to picking up the win. After the match, Big Show would come out, saying that Randy Orton has never been much of a “team player”, saying that if Orton worked better as his teammate at WrestleMania, then he might have avoided being knocked out. With Orton’s attention on Big Show, Damien Sandow jumps “The Viper”, hitting the Terminus on Orton as Big Show laughs the entire time! Big Show then tells Orton that, at Extreme Rules, there will be “nothing funny” about what he does to Orton. Backstage, a clearly angry Kane exits the trainer’s room, telling Matt Striker that he is going to make The Shield “pay” for what they did to Daniel Bryan, not to mention The Undertaker. Kane continues, saying that he knows how it is going to go when he steps in the ring, saying that The Shield will use their numbers to get him down. However, Kane vows to take each and every one of them down with him, saying that he and The Shield are going on a “little journey to a place called hell”! After he was embarrassed in a Tug-of-War Contest against Sheamus on RAW, “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry was again looking to prove his dominance to the world as Mark Henry would compete in an Arm Wrestling Match against “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus. Sheamus would have an impressive showing in the test of strength, but Mark Henry would prevail, slamming Sheamus’ hand down to win the Arm Wrestling Match. Not wanting to accept defeat, Sheamus challenges Mark Henry to a rematch, this time, using their left arm. However, Mark Henry felt he had nothing further to prove, but when Sheamus accuses Henry of being “scared”, Henry takes the bait and agrees to the rematch. However, when Sheamus and Mark Henry lock up and get ready to begin the rematch, Sheamus pops Mark Henry with a right hand before dropping “The World’s Strongest Man” with the Brogue Kick, again humiliating Henry! After The Shield took out his brother, The Undertaker, last week and his tag team partner Daniel Bryan earlier in the night, it was time for the main event of SmackDown as one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, “The Big Red Monster” Kane, went one-on-one with one-third of The Shield, Dean Ambrose, with Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns in his corner with Reigns bringing Daniel Bryan’s WWE Tag Team Title belt with him! With all three men awaiting him in the ring, the fearless Kane would hit the ring, scaring The Shield off by wielding the WWE Tag Team Title belt. Knowing that it would not be enough to keep Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns from interfering, Kane would head to the outside where “The Big Red Monster” literally hurls Roman Reigns over the announce table, slamming into the ringside barricade! Kane then targets Seth Rollins, clobbering Rollins with a clothesline over the barricade! With Rollins & Reigns out of commission, Dean Ambrose was left alone to face Kane as the one-on-one match finally gets underway. Kane would dominate Dean Ambrose early on in the match, but Dean Ambrose found a way to fight back, targeting the legs of the big man and, with Reigns & Rollins back on their feet supporting him from ringside, Ambrose would methodically take it to Kane, continuing to chip away at the left leg of “The Big Red Monster”. The veteran Kane would endure the onslaught, planting Dean Ambrose with the chokeslam, but the WWE Tag Team Champion would go for the Tombstone Piledriver, but upon spotting Seth Rollins on the ring apron, Kane drops Ambrose and blasts Rollins with a big boot, sending Rollins off of the ring apron, colliding with the announce table. Ambrose then clotheslines Kane to the outside, but Kane lands on his feet, dragging Ambrose to the outside and bouncing his head off of the announce table. Kane then targets Roman Reigns, tossing Reigns into the steel steps. In the meantime, Ambrose rolled back into the ring and, when Kane comes back in, Ambrose kicks the injured knee of “The Big Red Monster”, allowing Ambrose to hit Kane with a modified version of an STO, driving Kane’s skull into the mat en route to pinning Kane to pick up a major singles victory over one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions! After the match, the hobbled Kane actually dared The Shield to come in a fight him and The Shield would oblige. Kane would briefly manage to fight off the assault, but the 3-on-1 advantage would overwhelm the battle-weary monster and it was not long before Kane was down on the mat. However, when The Shield tries for the three-man powerbomb, Kane fights out and, just when it looks like “The Big Red Monster” is going to drop Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins with a double chokeslam, Roman Reigns blasts Kane with the Spear. The Shield then follows it up with their signature three-man powerbomb, leaving the seven-footer laid out and at their mercy in the center of the ring. Dean Ambrose then grabs the WWE Tag Team Title belts before The Shield stands tall in the ring, holding the tag belts that belong to Team Hell No, leaving no doubt in anyone’s mine that The Shield wants the gold.
