WWE: CM Punk Taking Additional Time Off from WWEBy Cassidy| May 4, 2013 Wrestling News The Wrestling-Online Newsletter is reporting that former WWE Champion CM Punk has been removed from WWE’s upcoming tours of Japan and Australia, which will take place throughout July. Punk was originally scheduled on WWE.com for both tours, but has since been removed from the ads for the events. As it stands, CM Punk is not scheduled for any WWE shows until SummerSlam in August. As previously reported, CM Punk is taking a sabbatical from the WWE to heal from several nagging injuries, as well as just general burnout from overworking himself over the past several years. This is Punk’s first notable break from the WWE since he debuted with the company in 2006. Punk’s last live appearance on WWE television was on April 15, when he appeared to cut a promo about his loss to The Undertaker at WrestleMania, but cut the promo short, handing the microphone to Paul Heyman and walking out of the arena alone. What do you think of CM Punk not returning until SummerSlam? Post your comments in the box below.
