WWE Spoilers: Dolph Ziggler Suffers Concussion at SmackDown Tapings

WWE.com is reporting that, at the SmackDown tapings on Tuesday, World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler suffered a concussion while interfering in a match between Jack Swagger and Big E. Langston. WWE physician Dr. Michael Sampson confirmed the injury after Ziggler took a nasty shot to the head. Dr. Sampson commented, “He [was] having some memory difficulties and a bit of a headache…..he definitely has a concussion. We’re checking him out and going to be doing neuropsychological testing and just keep it monitored.”

Given WWE’s firm stance on concussions, Dolph Ziggler’s scheduled defense of the World Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat Ladder Match against Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio a week from Sunday at Extreme Rules is certainly in jeopardy.
