WWE Spoilers: Latest Update on CM Punk’s StatusBy Cassidy| March 28, 2013 Wrestling News Anyone who has been watching RAW the last couple of weeks will have noticed that CM Punk has not been competing, instead appearing in a non-wrestling capacity to build his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29 in ten nights. The reason for this is due to CM Punk apparently being injured and, while the severity and specifications of the injury are unknown, Punk will still work the scheduled match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania. To ensure that the match goes off without a hitch, WWE is being very careful with what CM Punk does heading into the biggest event on the WWE calendar. However, CM Punk’s post-WrestleMania schedule arouses suspicion that Punk is more severely injured than Punk or anyone else behind the scenes is letting on as Punk is not scheduled for any live events following WrestleMania and is not even advertised for the Extreme Rules pay-per-view in May. Another possibility is that Punk is dealing with frustration, burn-out, and/or several nagging injuries and, to protect the future of one of their biggest Superstars, WWE is giving Punk some time off after WrestleMania. Punk may or may not be a part of RAW in the weeks after WrestleMania, but the best option for Punk would be for the former WWE Champion to be taken off of the road completely so that he can fully recover as Punk has been working on a near non-stop basis for the WWE for a few years now and Punk has never taken any significant time off from the WWE in the seven years he’s been with the company.
