Big TNA News: Rob Van Dam No Longer Under Contract!By Cassidy| March 14, 2013 Wrestling News PWInsider.com is reporting that, as of now, former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Rob Van Dam is no longer under contract with TNA Wrestling. RVD mentioned on Twitter recently that he will not be a part of the Impact Wrestling tapings in Chicago tonight and his status as a free agent is the reason why. Rob’s contract apparently expired last week and, for one reason or another, the two sides have not come to an agreement on a new contract. Details are currently unknown as to why Van Dam was not re-signed, but for all intents and purposes, RVD is free to join any wrestling organization he desires or he could choose to retire or take a hiatus. After his WWE contract expired back in 2007, Rob Van Dam competed for different independent organizations on a part-time basis for four years before being signed to TNA in 2010. Over the last three years, RVD has once held the TNA World Heavyweight Title and the TNA X-Division Title, respectively. In his tenures in WWE and the original ECW, Rob is also a one-time WWE Champion, a one-time ECW World Champion, 2006 “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank”, six-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, one-time ECW World TV Champion, a five-time tag team champion, and was also the final holder of both the European and Hardcore Championships. Do you think RVD will re-sign with TNA? Post your comments in the box below.
