Ric Flair’s Son Passes Away at the Age of 25By Cassidy| March 30, 2013 Wrestling News As originally reported by CharlotteObserver.com, the son of two-time Hall of Famer Ric Flair, Reid Flair (Richard Reid Fliehr), was found dead yesterday at a Residence Inn hotel in the SouthPark neighborhood of Charlotte, NC. The 25-year old had just returned from working for All Japan Pro-Wrestling. Very few details are known right now about the untimely death, but the local police are investigating the death and have stated that there are no signs of foul play and the police are currently investigating the possibility of a drug overdose. Reid mostly worked the independent circuit as a wrestler, competing mostly in the Charlotte area and, as previously stated, in All Japan Pro-Wrestling. However, at only ten years old, Reid wrestled his first two matches ever in WCW. The first match saw the ten-year old Reid defeat Eric Bischoff and the other match saw Reid team with his father, Ric, to face his brother, David, and Vince Russo in a losing effort. Reid was also present for his father’s first induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008 and was also with his family the next night at WrestleMania XXIV to watch what would be his father’s final match in the WWE against Shawn Michaels.
