Detailed Results With his representative under fire and a rematch for the WWE Championship against The Rock on the horizon at WWE Elimination Chamber, RAW kicks off with the former WWE Champion, CM Punk, who forces RAW ring announcer Justin Roberts to announce him as “The People’s Champion” CM Punk. Punk then asks if he “overreacted” last week when he screamed and shouted at them, saying that, if they think so, then they have never had a great accomplishment in their life. Punk continues, saying that he acted just like a “normal person” would act, saying that he was “screwed” out of the WWE Championship and the title is currently held by someone who does not “deserve” it, someone who “does not understand what it means to be a champion”. Punk then says that people have been asking him questions regarding the video footage that Mr. McMahon showed last week of Paul Heyman conversing with Brad Maddox and The Shield. Punk then asks the fans, and even Michael Cole, if he was actually in the video, with all of them begrudgingly admitting that he was not. Punk continues, saying that, if Paul Heyman says that he was not in the video, then he believes Heyman. Punk then accuses Mr. McMahon of hiring an actor to portray Heyman in the video, saying that if McMahon wants to “screw” him and Heyman, then the Chairman will “doctor” a video to make them look guilty. Punk then says that McMahon got what he “deserved” last week when he had his hip broken by Brock Lesnar before saying that he is the “real champion”, calling all of the fans “worthless”. Punk then says, in two weeks at WWE Elimination Chamber, The Rock will get what he deserves when he takes the WWE Title back from The Rock. Punk is then interrupted by SmackDown General Manager Booker T, who says that RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero allowed him to come out there and decide CM Punk’s fate. Booker then says that, since they are on the Road to WrestleMania, Punk will face an opponent from WrestleMania’s past as Booker presents the options of Punk’s opponent from WrestleMania XXVI, Rey Mysterio, or his opponent from WrestleMania XXVII, Randy Orton, or Punk’s most recent WrestleMania opponent, Chris Jericho! Booker then leaves the decision in the hands of the fans, instructing them to use the WWE App to vote for Punk’s opponent on RAW. Who will CM Punk face in a special WrestleMania Rewind Match? Will it be Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, or Chris Jericho? “The Sin City Cyborg” was in action on RAW as the opening match of the night saw Ryback going one-on-one with the man who has twice ran away from Ryback in their last two meetings, the United States Champion Antonio Cesaro, in a non-title match. Even though Antonio Cesaro would use an ingenious strategy to gain the advantage on a couple of different occasions throughout the match, it was Ryback enduring it all and then some before dropping the United States Champion with Shell Shocked en route to picking up a definitive win over Cesaro. With SmackDown General Manager Booker T a guest on commentary, former World Champion “The Real American” Jack Swagger would return to RAW, going one-on-one with Santino Marella. In the end, it was Jack Swagger using his newly dubbed “Patriot Act” ankle lock, forcing Santino to tap out to pick up the win. During the match, Booker T would reveal that both Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio will be a part of the Elimination Chamber Match at WWE Elimination Chamber where the winner will face the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania! With Ricardo Rodriguez still convalescing at home following back-to-back attacks at the hands of Big Show on RAW and SmackDown, the World Heavyweight Champion was in action on RAW as Alberto Del Rio went one-on-one with Cody Rhodes in a non-title match. In the end, it was Alberto Del Rio locking in the cross armbreaker on Cody Rhodes, forcing the second-generation Superstar to tap out to pick up the win. After the match, the World Heavyweight Champion says that he is a “different man” now, saying that he appreciates the support of the fans because they have made him open his eyes. Del Rio continues, saying he is now the World Heavyweight Champion and he is the champion to prove to people that they can achieve great things. Del Rio then turns his attention to Big Show, vowing to make the giant pay for what he did to Ricardo Rodriguez last week. Big Show then appears on the TitanTron as he is in a local hotel room, saying that he has a hard time controlling his “rage” and he could snap Del Rio in half. Big Show continues, saying that the reason he left their parking lot brawl on SmackDown was to protect Del Rio from him. Big Show then says that destroying Del Rio will not get him what he wants, saying that he wants the World Heavyweight Title back, challenging Del Rio to a rematch for the World Heavyweight Title at WWE Elimination Chamber! Big Show then warns Del Rio to not come looking for him at the hotel, saying he will destroy Del Rio if he does not sign a contract for the rematch and have it sent to him. Will Alberto Del Rio adhere to Big Show’s will? CM Punk’s opponent on RAW was revealed as, with 57% of the votes, Chris Jericho will go one-on-one with CM Punk in a rematch from their WrestleMania XXVIII match last year! After telling his tag team partner, Kane, to stay backstage, one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Daniel Bryan, would go one-on-one with the man that pinned him on SmackDown, “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio. In the end, Daniel Bryan would dodge the Bullet Splash of Rey Mysterio, locking in the No Lock on Rey Mysterio, forcing Rey to tap out to pick up the win. There was no time for a celebration, however, as a shocking return would halt everything as the destructive and remorseless “World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry returns to RAW! Daniel Bryan tries to get the jump on Mark Henry on the outside of the ring, but Henry just tosses the tag champion into the ringside barricade. “The World’s Strongest Man” then targets Rey Mysterio, squashing Rey with a running powerslam, but before Henry can do more damage, Sin Cara rushes to the aid of his tag partner. However, Mark Henry easily deals with Sin Cara, drilling the masked man with the World’s Strongest Slam. Henry then shifts his focus back to Mysterio as Rey fails to fight back, getting dropped with the World’s Strongest Slam. Henry was not done there, however, as “The World’s Strongest Man” drags Rey to the corner, hitting a big splash off of the second rope, destroying the high-flyer! Back at his undisclosed hotel room, Big Show is on the phone with Booker T, awaiting the arrival of Alberto Del Rio. Big Show then answers his door to get his room service delivery and, when the hotel employee asks for a tip, Big Show ushers the employee out of the room, telling him to get a “better job”. As both men continue to try and impress their way into the Elimination Chamber Match to join Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, and, now, Daniel Bryan, “The Celtic Warrior” would go one-on-one with one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, “The Big Red Monster” Kane. During the match, Kane was ready to chokeslam Sheamus, but Daniel Bryan would get on the ring apron, arguing with Kane. Kane would shove Bryan off of the apron, but the distraction would benefit Sheamus, who hits Kane with the Brogue Kick en route to picking up the win. With countless unanswered questions surrounding his involvement with Brock Lesnar’s brutal attack on Mr. McMahon last week, Paul Heyman would join The Miz on “The Most Must-See Talk Show in the WWE” Miz TV as The Miz tries to get the answers that the world is looking for. Before The Miz can introduce his guest, Paul Heyman interrupts the introduction, saying that he will not have Miz “soil” his reputation. Heyman then offers his “best wishes” to the recovering Mr. McMahon, but The Miz does not buy it, saying that Heyman does not care about the Chairman. Heyman then tells The Miz that he did not know anything about Brock Lesnar being in the arena last week and he did not know anything about Lesnar’s attack on the Chairman. Continuing to refer to The Miz as “Mr. Mizanin”, Heyman implores Miz to look at the footage again where Heyman tried to stop Lesnar’s attack. The Miz then calls Heyman the “most committed liar” that he has ever seen! Heyman then says that he has questions, as well, asking Miz if CM Punk was “screwed” out of the WWE Championship and asking if Punk will regain the title, but Miz says that Heyman is “changing the subject”. Heyman says that he will answer any of The Miz’s questions, but he wants Miz to answer him first. RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero then intervenes, making her way to the ring, ordering the “bickering” to stop. Vickie then says that Heyman is telling the “truth”, revealing that she is the one that is responsible for Brock Lesnar returning last week! Vickie continues, saying that she has been negotiating with Lesnar for quite some time and re-signing Brock to a contract was her attempt to impress Mr. McMahon into making her the permanent General Manager. Vickie then claims that neither she nor Heyman had any idea that Brock would attack the Chairman. Heyman then consoles the crying Vickie before Vickie proposes a prayer for McMahon’s recovery. However, The Miz is still not buying it, saying that Heyman has hated McMahon since the Chairman “crushed” ECW and McMahon has “dangled the carrot” of permanent GM in front of Vickie for quite some time. Miz continues, calling Vickie and Heyman “bottom-feeders”, saying that they live off of the misery of others. The Miz then says that, when Mr. McMahon does return, he will finish what he started by firing Paul Heyman and then firing Vickie Guerrero. Miz then says that it will only be a matter of time before they never have to see or hear their “lying, pathetic, shifty, two-faced, thirty-chinned, walrus faces” again! However, the mood then takes a drastic change as “The Beast” Brock Lesnar arrives on the scene! Heyman quickly escorts Vickie out of the ring as Heyman stays on the ring apron as the unpredictable powerhouse enters the ring, coming face-to-face with The Miz. The Miz refuses to back down from Lesnar, even shoving the monster, but the explosive Brock quickly takes Miz down, tossing the host to the outside of the ring. Lesnar then tosses furniture at The Miz, but when Lesnar turns his back, The Miz tries to get back in the fight, but is overwhelmed by the uncaring and destructive Lesnar as Brock levels Miz with the F-5 in the center of the ring! Paul Heyman then begs Brock to not injure Miz any further before leaving the ring with “The Beast”. After learning that he will be one of the six Superstars competing inside the Elimination Chamber with the winner earning a World Heavyweight Title shot at WrestleMania, “The Viper” Randy Orton would go one-on-one with Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett in a non-title match on RAW. In the end, it was Randy Orton dropping Wade Barrett with the RKO en route to pinning the Intercontinental Champion for the win. In a match voted on by the WWE fans, “The Best in the World” CM Punk would go one-on-one with his opponent from last year’s WrestleMania, “Y2J” Chris Jericho. At the end of a WrestleMania-quality, back-and-forth match, it was CM Punk finally hitting the GTS on Chris Jericho en route to picking up a major win. The blockbuster announcement was made during RAW that, after years and years of refusing to be inducted, one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time, “The Living Legend” Bruno Sammartino will be inducted into the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame as the longest reigning WWE Champion of all-time joins Mick Foley, Trish Stratus, & Bob Backlund as the latest inductees into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame on April 6 in Madison Square Garden! Eating his meal at his undisclosed hotel room, an impatient Big Show answers the door as a man presents the contract for the World Heavyweight Title rematch at Elimination Chamber. The messenger tries to warn Big Show, but the giant refuses to listen and, after signing the contract, Big Show opens the door to let the messenger out, but he finds a seething Alberto Del Rio waiting! Del Rio attacks Big Show as champion and challenger brawl throughout the halls of the hotel with Big Show getting the advantage before Del Rio grabs a fire extinguisher, spraying it into the face of Big Show before leveling the giant, blasting Big Show with a fire extinguisher shot to the head, leaving Big Show knocked out! Del Rio then gets in an elevator, leaving the scene. Brad Maddox then makes an unexpected appearance, saying that Paul Heyman “preyed” on him, saying that he was a young hopeful trying to make a name for himself in the WWE. Maddox continues, saying that he is glad that the truth is out there and he is “innocent”. Maddox then reveals that he is the one who gave the incriminating footage to Mr. McMahon last week, saying that he is the “hero” of this story. Maddox then declares that it will be him, and not John Cena, who will teach The Shield about “injustice”! Maddox then calls out Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns as The Shield make their way through the crowd. As The Shield continues towards the ring, Dean Ambrose calls Brad Maddox a “rat”. Seth Rollins then asks if Maddox even understands the “concept of justice”, saying that justice is The Shield putting a “weasel” like Maddox out of his misery. Roman Reigns then says that, last week, it was “just business”, but they are going to “enjoy it” this week. The Shield then enters the ring and Maddox rushes Dean Ambrose, but the trio quickly beat-down Maddox, putting Maddox down with the three-man powerbomb! John Cena’s music then hits, but Cena was not alone as Cena enters through the crowd with Sheamus and Ryback providing backup! The Shield would try to flee the ring, but a host of The Shield’s past victims, including Randy Orton, Kane, Daniel Bryan, Brodus Clay, Zack Ryder, Santino Marella, & Kofi Kingston, force The Shield back into the ring! Cena, Sheamus, and Ryback then surround The Shield before the brawl commences with Cena, Sheamus, & Ryback taking it to Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns. The new alliance would pummel The Shield to the point of the trio retreating from the ring, escaping through the crowd! What did you think of this week’s RAW? Post your comments in the box below.
