Detailed Results As promised earlier in the day via Tout, Paul Heyman kicks off RAW with what he called the “announcement of a lifetime” and Heyman delivered as Heyman announces that they will “never” see him again! Heyman continues, saying that whatever he has done in his life he has done with “passion” and, for seven years of his life, he sacrificed everything and did everything in his power to bring them the “single, most entertaining product” in professional wrestling history and that was ECW. Heyman then says that, when he came to the WWE, he saw the “most physically gifted rookie” and, again, he sacrificed himself and used everything in his power to help create “The Next Big Thing” Brock Lesnar. Heyman continues, saying that he met someone that he saw as the “future”, someone that would carry the WWE into the future and that man is CM Punk. Heyman says that he can see into the future, saying that something “really bad” is going to happen and it is hanging high above his head and it is going to come down onto him and everyone around him and that includes CM Punk! Heyman continues, saying that he has become a “distraction” to the detriment of CM Punk and that is why is he is tendering his “resignation”! Heyman then says that the fans are “cold-hearted” and the one thing that he will not miss about the WWE is the fans. Heyman continues, saying that CM Punk needs to focus on regaining the WWE Championship and he will not stand in Punk’s way. Heyman then concludes, saying that he regrets that he cannot stand out there with CM Punk at Elimination Chamber when he defeats The Rock for the WWE Title and, for that reason, he is saying “goodbye”! However, one man who was caught off-guard by Paul Heyman’s resignation was CM Punk and the former WWE Champion makes his way to the ring to confront his former advisor. Punk asks Heyman what he is doing and Heyman explains that he is in Punk’s way because Mr. McMahon thinks that he is responsible for paying Brad Maddox and The Shield and the Chairman also believes that he is responsible for the re-emergence of Brock Lesnar. Punk says that the WWE needs Heyman and the fans look up to Heyman just like he does, saying there are a lot of “Paul Heyman guys” out there. Heyman says that, in the “land of the McMahons, perception is reality” and he does not want Punk to think of him as a “martyr”, but as a “friend”, insisting that Punk let him go. Punk refuses, however, saying that, at Elimination Chamber, their “bad dream” goes away when he takes back the WWE Championship from The Rock and Paul Heyman will be in the corner of the WWE Champion! Heyman then pulls a 180, boldly declaring that he will be at Elimination Chamber and he will witness Punk regain the WWE Title and continue his historic title reign! Heyman then embraces CM Punk as Punk and his advisor reunite in a perplexing show of affection. Before the opening match of the night, it was revealed that, as a result of the attack by the returning Mark Henry on last week’s RAW, Rey Mysterio will be unable to compete inside the Elimination Chamber this Sunday! Now with Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, & Mark Henry confirmed for the Elimination Chamber Match, who will fill the remaining three spots? Before he joins five other Superstars in the Elimination Chamber Match with a World Heavyweight Title match at WrestleMania on the line, “The World’s Strongest Man” was in action on RAW as Mark Henry went one-on-one with the man he attacked on SmackDown, “The Punjabi Giant” The Great Khali, with Natalya & Hornswoggle in his corner, in the opening match of the night. In the end, it was Mark Henry planting The Great Khali with the World’s Strongest Slam en route to picking up the win. After the match, Mark Henry was not finished, however, as “The World’s Strongest Man” gets his hands on Hornswoggle, squashing the pint-sized Superstar with the World’s Strongest Slam! Backstage, Chris Jericho confronts SmackDown General Manager Booker T and Booker’s Senior Advisor Theodore Long, saying that he is a six-time World Champion and it makes perfect sense to allow Jericho to enter the Elimination Chamber Match this Sunday! Despite Theodore Long’s readiness to put Jericho in the Chamber, Booker says that “Y2J” has to earn it, putting Jericho in a match against Daniel Bryan, telling Jericho that, if he defeats Bryan, he will gain entry into the Elimination Chamber Match! Backstage, Paul Heyman confronts RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, asking Vickie to add a stipulation to the WWE Championship match this Sunday. Heyman says that, in Mr. McMahon’s absence, Vickie is in charge and she is the “boss”. Vickie then gets a call from the Chairman himself, putting Mr. McMahon on speakerphone. Heyman tries to give his best wishes to the Chairman, but McMahon tells Heyman to “shut up” before listening to Heyman’s idea for a stipulation at Elimination Chamber. Heyman proposes that, in the WWE Championship match this Sunday, if The Rock is disqualified or counted out, then CM Punk will be awarded the WWE Title! Heyman says that he will do “anything” to get the stipulation added and the Chairman says that he wants that “in writing”, which Heyman agrees to. Surprisingly, Mr. McMahon then grants Heyman’s request, adding the stipulation to the title match! Heyman then praises McMahon and says that he sees the Chairman as a “father figure”, but McMahon hangs up on Heyman! After going to Booker T to request entry into the Elimination Chamber Match, Chris Jericho would have to earn his spot as “Y2J” went one-on-one with one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan (who is already in the Chamber Match) and, if Jericho wins, he will be added to the match. At the end of an incredible match, it was Chris Jericho coming out of nowhere with the Codebreaker on Daniel Bryan en route to picking up the win and earning a spot in his eighth Elimination Chamber Match this Sunday! Chris Jericho joins Randy Orton, Mark Henry, and Daniel Bryan in the Elimination Chamber, but who will fill the final two spots? Before they join forces in a 6-Man Tag Match to try and eradicate The Shield at Elimination Chamber, the winner of the 2013 Royal Rumble Match, John Cena, would team with “The Sin City Cyborg” Ryback and “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus to face 3MB, Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, & Drew McIntyre, in a 6-Man Tag Match. In the end, it was John Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus working in unison as Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment while Ryback hits Shell Shocked and Sheamus hits White Noise with Cena pinning Jinder Mahal for the win. After the match, Ryback says that this Sunday is a day that he has waited a long time for, vowing to “feast” on The Shield. Sheamus then says that, even though they are fighting The Shield on Sunday, there is no reason they should not get their hands on The Shield tonight. Cena then speaks, saying that The Shield will be in the middle of the ring later tonight, saying that The Shield will face “the law”! In a piece of footage captured earlier in the evening, Alex Riley and Yoshi Tatsu are joking about the humiliation that Big Show suffered at the hands of Alberto Del Rio on SmackDown when “The World’s Largest Athlete” comes out of nowhere, leveling both Riley and Tatsu with the K.O. Punch! After being humiliated by World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio on SmackDown, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show appears on RAW just six nights before he faces Del Rio for the title at Elimination Chamber. Matt Striker tries to interview the giant, but before Striker can even finish his question, he is knocked out by Big Show! Big Show then picks up the microphone and, after several attempts to try and calm down enough to speak, Big Show just drops the microphone and storms out of the ring! In his continuing quest to try and gain entry into the Elimination Chamber Match, “The Real American” was in action on RAW as Jack Swagger went one-on-one with Zack Ryder, but the man accompanying Swagger drew curious looks as Zeb Coulter returned to the WWE. In the end, it was Jack Swagger locking in the Patriot Act on Zack Ryder, forcing Ryder to tap out to pick up the win. After the match, the unusual Zeb Coulter speaks, saying that he was in Vietnam with Swagger’s father because they are “real patriots” and, now, he looks around and people are talking to him and he doesn’t know what they are saying. Zeb continues, saying that real Americans “know the truth” and it is their land to “defend”, concluding by saying “we the people”. Backstage, Booker T & Theodore Long both agree that Jack Swagger will be in the Elimination Chamber Match, but the GM is confronted by “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Dolph Ziggler, AJ Lee, & Big E. Langston. Ziggler says that he sent Chris Jericho out of the WWE last year and, if Jericho is in the Elimination Chamber, then he wants in, as well! Booker then says that Dolph will go one-on-one with “The Big Red Monster” Kane later on in the evening and whoever wins that match will earn the final spot in the Elimination Chamber Match. After finding himself on the receiving end of an F-5 from Brock Lesnar last week, “The Awesome One” The Miz would go one-on-one with “The Mustachioed Marvel” Cody Rhodes with United States Champion Antonio Cesaro a guest on commentary. During the match, The Miz would stare down Antonio Cesaro on the outside of the ring, which would result in Cesaro trying to attack Miz, but Miz catches Cesaro with a boot to the face. Miz then rolls Cody Rhodes back into the ring, but Cesaro charges Miz from behind, shoving The Miz into the steel ring post. Then, in a unique show of strength, the United States Champion grabs The Miz by the legs, swinging him back-and-forth, repeatedly slamming Miz’s head into the ringside barricade! The unusual and super-heavyweight team of “The Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay & Tensai, with The Funkadactyls in their corner, faced Primo & Epico, with Rosa Mendes in their corner, in tag team action. In the end, it was Tensai squashing Epico with the Tenson en route to the dancing super-heavyweights picking up the win. After the match, Rosa Mendes would take issue with the celebration of Brodus Clay, Tensai, & The Funkadactyls, but The Funkadactyls would take care of Rosa as Cameron & Naomi work together to drop Rosa with a baseball slide to the outside before the celebration resumes. Six nights before they face the super-team of John Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus in a 6-Man Tag Match at Elimination Chamber, The Shield appear on RAW! Dean Ambrose says that they are united with a sole purpose, absolving the WWE of “travesties”, like the ones that John Cena commits every day. Seth Rollins then says that, when they want to send a message, they do it through “action”. Roman Reigns then scoffs at Cena, Ryback & Sheamus “threatening” The Shield, telling them to come and get them! When they do not appear, Dean Ambrose says they delivered an “empty threat” and Roman Reigns adds that it took an entire roster of Superstars to help them last week and they still did not get the job done. Seth Rollins then says that Cena “fails every day” by existing and Elimination Chamber will be no different before Dean Ambrose calls Cena a “failure”, saying that, in Cena’s world, there are no consequences, but that is not the “real world”. Ambrose dubs this, “the John Cena problem” before Reigns says that The Shield is the “solution”. Rollins says that Cena laid the “groundwork” for the world to “believe in the system”, saying that, this Sunday, they have the opportunity to “rectify a decade of injustice in one, fell swoop”. Ambrose then advises Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus to breathe in all of the air that they can before Sunday because, at Elimination Chamber, they will “drown” them! The Shield again challenges Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus to face them and, after a short time of waiting, the lights go out in the arena and, in the style of The Shield, the super-team arrives on the scene as Cena, Ryback, and Sheamus take it to The Shield, sending Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns packing! This time, however, The Shield does not make a clean getaway as Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus pursue the trio, pummeling them throughout the crowd before The Shield is finally able to pull away from the fight, escaping the new super-force! Before he defends the World Heavyweight Title against Big Show at Elimination Chamber, the World Heavyweight Champion was in action on RAW as Alberto Del Rio, with Ricardo Rodriguez back in his corner, went one-on-one with “The Intellectual Savior of the Masses” Damien Sandow in a non-title match. In the end, it was Alberto Del Rio locking in the cross armbreaker on Damien Sandow, forcing Sandow to tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Alberto Del Rio says that Big Show gave the “best promo” of his life earlier, saying that the time for talking is over and, after Elimination Chamber, Big Show can travel anywhere he wants in his bus because there is only one place he is going and that is WrestleMania! Backstage, Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett was on his way to the ring when he is blindsided in an attack from NXT rookie Bo Dallas! In a measure of revenge for the attack a couple of weeks ago, Dallas takes it Wade Barrett, leaving Barrett grasping his face and shoulder, laid out on the concrete floor as officials pull Dallas off of the Intercontinental Champion. Despite being assaulted by Bo Dallas in the backstage area moments earlier, Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett would go one-on-one with the man he took the title from, Kofi Kingston, in a non-title match. In an innovative victory, Wade Barrett would dodge Trouble in Paradise from Kofi Kingston, pulling Kofi under the apron of the ring and delivering a modified Bull Hammer Elbow to the back of Kofi’s head before rolling back into the ring and pinning Kofi for the win. With Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Mark Henry, Daniel Bryan, & Jack Swagger all in the Elimination Chamber Match, the main event on RAW would determine who would fill the sixth and final spot in the Chamber as “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Dolph Ziggler, with AJ Lee & Big E. Langston in his corner, went one-on-one with one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, “The Big Red Monster” Kane. During the match, AJ Lee would get on the ring apron to distract Kane as Kane misses his clothesline off of the top rope. Dolph Ziggler then hits the ropes, inadvertently knocking AJ off of the ring apron, but, luckily for AJ, she is caught by Big E. Langston. However, Dolph’s concern for AJ would briefly distract him and Kane would plant Ziggler with the chokeslam en route to picking up the win and earning the final spot in the Elimination Chamber Match! After learning earlier in the night that, if he is disqualified or counted out in his title defense against CM Punk at Elimination Chamber, then he will lose the WWE Title, the WWE Champion, The Rock, would make an appearance on RAW. The Rock first tells the fans about his days as a teenager in Nashville where he was confronted by a “crackhead”, whom he bought a car off of in a local bar. The Rock says that he was driving his new car, but he thought that the car might have been stolen, so he parked the car in a Burger King parking lot and left it there. The Rock continues, saying that, if you are looking to buy a car, never buy a car from a crackhead and don’t be like The Rock was at fifteen years old, but they should be like The Rock at twenty-five years old when he was scraping to make it in the wrestling business and dreaming of being the WWE Champion. Former champion CM Punk and his advisor, Paul Heyman, then come out and The Rock tells both of them to “bring it”. Rock continues, vowing to beat Punk at Elimination Chamber and, if Punk comes to the ring, then he will beat his “punk ass” right now. Punk mulls it over before he makes his way to the ring with Heyman at his side and, after a short conversation with Heyman, Punk rushes the ring as champion and challenger brawl! The Rock would get the better of CM Punk, hitting the spinebuster on Punk, but when the WWE Champion goes for the People’s Elbow, Heyman trips The Rock! This allows Punk to recover, hitting The Rock with the GTS, leaving the champion laid out in the center of the ring! CM Punk then grabs The Rock’s WWE Title belt and looks at the WrestleMania sign before walking off with The Rock’s belt. On the stage, CM Punk tells The Rock that “story time is over” and stating that, because the WWE Title belongs to him, he is just going to “take it”! What did you think of this week’s RAW?
