WWE: Bret Hart Rips Into Triple H in New Interview!By Cassidy| February 4, 2013 Wrestling News In a surprising interview with WrestleTalk TV Extra, WWE Hall of Famer Bret “Hitman” Hart had some choice words to say about WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent and Events, Triple H. Bret and “The Game” have had a difficult relationship for years, stemming from Triple H’s personal friendship with Shawn Michaels, as well as Triple H’s involvement with the infamous Montreal Screwjob in 1997. In the interview, Bret admitted that he has a lot of respect for Triple H, but also questioned Triple H’s skill as a wrestler, saying, “Triple H has always been a good wrestler, but great? What is he now, a 1,000 time World Champion? How great, really, is he?” Bret also made mention of CM Punk and Rey Mysterio, calling both of them “innovators” before continuing, “But you look at someone like Hunter and you wonder, what has he really done? He’s mostly a guy who just showed up and they made him. He’s always been a decent wrestler. I would consider him a good wrestler and pretty talented, but great? I don’t know. I don’t think so.” Bret also claims that Triple H “never had a good match”, saying that Triple H’s match with The Undertaker at last year’s WrestleMania didn’t really qualify as a “great” match. Bret continued, “I don’t really mean it as a knock, but I told myself before I watched it because I’m trying to like Paul [Triple H] now these days, that I want to see him do something to make me think he’s got greatness in him.” Bret mentioned that he would give Triple H’s match with The Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania a “3 or 4 out of 10”, calling the match “mediocre at best”. Bret also referred to Triple H as being “overrated” and saying that he cannot recall one single match of Triple H’s that he could describe as “great”.
