After both men announced that they will be a part of the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match in a few weeks, “The Celtic Warrior” would square off with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” as Sheamus goes one-on-one with Dolph Ziggler, with AJ Lee and Big E. Langston in his corner, as both men look to gain momentum heading into the Royal Rumble. Match Results Sheamus def. Dolph Ziggler by count-out. Non-Title: Wade Barrett def. Zack Ryder by pin following the Bull Hammer Elbow. Detailed Results After a look at both of their careers, the feature match of WWE Main Event would see two of the thirty participants in the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match square off as “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus went one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Dolph Ziggler, with AJ Lee & Big E. Langston in his corner. During a stellar, back-and-forth war, Sheamus would finally land the Brogue Kick on Dolph Ziggler, but, unfortunately for Sheamus, Dolph falls to the outside of the ring. Sheamus quickly tries to bring Ziggler back into the ring, but had to make the split-second decision to either win the match or risk a double count-out, so Sheamus rolled back into the ring at the last second to win the match via count-out. After the match, Sheamus would dare Big E. Langston to step into the ring with him, but Langston would only make it to the ring apron before deciding against the fight. The Intercontinental Champion was in action on Main Event as Wade Barrett went one-on-one with Zack Ryder in a non-title match. In the end, it was Wade Barrett putting Zack Ryder down with the Bull Hammer Elbow en route to picking up the win. At the conclusion of WWE Main Event, next week’s feature match was announced as “The Viper” Randy Orton makes his in-ring return to Main Event as Orton goes one-on-one with United States Champion Antonio Cesaro!
