WWE Main Event Results: January 30, 2013By Cassidy| January 30, 2013 WWE Main Event Funkster The eighteenth edition of WWE Main Event came to you from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, CA. After being the last man eliminated in the 2013 Royal Rumble Match and after being assaulted by The Shield on RAW, “The Sin City Cyborg” Ryback would join The Miz on “The Most Must-See Talk Show in the WWE” Miz TV! Plus, Ryback would also be in action, going one-on-one with United States Champion Antonio Cesaro in a rematch from last week’s Main Event. Match Results Non-Title: Ryback def. Antonio Cesaro by intentional count-out. Tensai (with Brodus Clay & The Funkadactyls) def. Titus O’Neil (with Darren Young) by pin following the Tenson. Detailed Results The show kicks off with The Miz as Miz hosts “The Must See Talk Show in the WWE”, Miz TV. The Miz introduces his guest, saying that the last time that his guest was on Miz TV, the set was destroyed. Miz then brings out his guest, the man of few words, “The Sin City Cyborg” Ryback! Ryback thanks Miz for having him on the show, saying that he is a “big fan” of Miz TV. The Miz says that, the last time Ryback was on Miz TV, he wrecked the set and tossed a couch, but Ryback says that he did not realize how comfortable the furniture is. The Miz says that one thing that they can both agree on is their disdain for United States Champion Antonio Cesaro, whom Ryback would face later on in the evening. Miz then shows what happened when Ryback and Cesaro went one-on-one last week, where the United States Champion walked out on their match and took a count-out loss. Ryback comments that Cesaro ran like a “coward” last week, but it will not happen again. This brings Antonio Cesaro out, but Cesaro quickly passes up Miz and Ryback, waiting until he was at a safe distance to start insulting the two of them. However, Ryback tells the United States Champion to “shut up”, saying that, if Cesaro is going to try and run away again, he better start now. With that, Ryback marches to the ring to face Cesaro. After Antonio Cesaro walked out on their match last week, the rematch would take place this week as United States Champion Antonio Cesaro would go one-on-one with “The Sin City Cyborg” Ryback in a non-title match. During the match, Antonio Cesaro would once again try to escape Ryback, but “The Sin City Cyborg” would chase Cesaro down, bouncing his skull off of the steel ramp before bringing the United States Champion back into the ring. However, Cesaro would roll out on the other side of the ring, cheap-shotting The Miz with a super kick before escaping through the crowd and emerging by the staging area, taking another count-out loss in order to avoid Ryback! In a bitter mood following his embarrassment on RAW, the once-dominant Tensai would go one-on-one with Titus O’Neil, with Darren Young in his corner. During the match, Titus O’Neil would knock Tensai to the outside and Darren Young would look like he was waiting for an opportunity to attack behind the referee’s back. However, Brodus Clay, along with The Funkadactyls, would come out to ringside to support Tensai! In the end, Tensai would pick up his first victory in months as the super heavyweight hits the Tenson on Titus O’Neil en route to picking up the win. After the match, Brodus Clay and The Funkadactyls would convince Tensai to dance again as all of them dance together, with Tensai even doing some of Brodus Clay’s moves!
