WWE Spoilers: The Latest Plans and Changes for WrestleMania 29By Cassidy| December 20, 2012 Wrestling News F4WOnline.com is reporting that the WWE has made some key changes to some of the big matches planned for WrestleMania 29 on April 7 in New Jersey. The only match that has not been altered is the planned rematch between Triple H and Brock Lesnar. It is being said that, as of now, they still plan on having a rematch between The Rock and John Cena, but it seems likely that some sort of stipulation may be added to the match. With CM Punk vs. The Rock for the WWE Championship still a “go” for the Royal Rumble, one possible scenario could see The Rock winning the WWE Title at the Rumble and defending it against Cena at WrestleMania or a similar scenario would see Rock win the title at the Rumble, then have Cena cost him the title at WWE Elimination Chamber (where The Rock is scheduled to compete in his first Elimination Chamber Match). Speaking of the Royal Rumble, there has been talk of having Sheamus win the Royal Rumble Match for the second year in a row as the current plan is to feature Sheamus vs. Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania, which would also mean that Big Show would have to lose the title between now and then. If they do have Sheamus win the 2013 Royal Rumble Match, he will be the first Superstar since Stone Cold Steve Austin to not only repeat as a Rumble winner, but win the Rumble Match two years in a row (Austin won the Rumble Match in 1997, 1998, & 2001; the most Rumble Match wins in history). Shawn Michaels is the only other Superstar to win more than one Rumble Match as the Hall of Famer won back-to-back Rumble Matches in 1995 & 1996. Another factor that may affect a WrestleMania match between Sheamus and Orton for the World Heavyweight Title is one Dolph Ziggler, the holder of the Money-in-the-Bank contract. If they do go through with Sheamus vs. Orton at WrestleMania, then that would mean that Dolph would either have to hang onto the briefcase well into 2013 or Ziggler will be cashing in the contract soon to either win the title or not win the title. If Dolph does cash in and become champion, then it would have to be a short title reign to accommodate the proposed Sheamus vs. Orton match. Another scenario could see Ziggler cashing in on whoever wins at WrestleMania, but plans will certainly change again between now and WrestleMania. Though expect a lot of questions about WrestleMania to be answered after the Royal Rumble. What do you want to see at WrestleMania 29? Post your comments in the box below.
