After WWE.com initially broke the news on Tuesday afternoon of WWE Champion CM Punk undergoing an emergency knee surgery to remove a piece of torn meniscus from his left knee, WWE.com has revealed that, in official statement, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has announced that CM Punk will be unable to compete at WWE TLC in his scheduled WWE Title defense against Ryback in a TLC Match. While the WWE Title will not be on the line at the pay-per-view, a huge 6-Man TLC Tag Match will take its place. Here is the updated card for WWE TLC: 6-Man TLC Tag Match: The Shield vs. Ryback & Team Hell No Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match: John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler World Heavyweight Championship: Chairs Match: Big Show (c) vs. Sheamus Intercontinental Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Wade Barrett In the 6-Man TLC Tag Match, tables, ladders, and chairs will be legal to use and provided for the competitors. Unlike typical TLC Matches, this 6-Man TLC Tag Match can end only by pinfall or submission with no disqualifications and no count-outs. In the Ladder Match, Dolph Ziggler’s Money-in-the-Bank briefcase will be hanging high above the ring with the first person who climbs a ladder and successfully retrieves the briefcase will win the match and the briefcase, which guarantees that individual a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship whenever they choose to cash it in. In the Chairs Match, steel chairs will be legal and provided for the competitors to use. The match can only end by pinfall or submission with no disqualifications and no count-outs.
