Breaking WWE News: CM Punk Undergoes Emergency Knee Surgery!By Cassidy| December 4, 2012 Wrestling News On a day where CM Punk ties with John Cena as the sixth longest reigning WWE Champion in history with 380 days as champion, WWE.com is reporting that, following last night’s RAW, Punk took a late night flight from Greensboro, NC to Pensacola, FL for a consultation with the famous Dr. James Andrews. Dr. Andrews discovered that the WWE Champion was suffering from a torn meniscus in his left knee. Earlier today, CM Punk underwent an emergency surgery to have the piece of torn meniscus removed from his knee. WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann provided an update on the WWE Champion’s condition, “CM Punk underwent knee surgery today to remove a piece of torn meniscus that had locked up his knee. The surgery, performed by Dr. James Andrews, went smoothly and CM Punk is expected to make a full recovery.” What the WWE.com article does not reveal is CM Punk’s status concerning his scheduled WWE Title defense against Ryback twelve nights from now at WWE TLC as the article does not make mention of either WWE TLC or how long Punk will be out of action. There is, no doubt, a lot of panic and uncertainty within the WWE right now regarding the WWE Champion’s future. Do you think CM Punk will be cleared to compete at WWE TLC?
