Detailed Results One night after a shocking Survivor Series that saw NXT hopefuls Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, & Roman Reigns emerge out of nowhere and assault Ryback, putting “The Sin City Cyborg” through the Spanish announce table and costing Ryback the WWE Title, RAW kicks off with a very rare address from Ryback! Though he is a man of few words, Ryback made his intentions clear, stating that he was about to “feast” on the WWE Championship at Survivor Series, but CM Punk and his three hired guns took the “food” out of a starving man’s mouth. Ryback continued, saying that Punk and the three assailants are now his “prey” and they should make it easy on themselves and just come out there to face him! However, what Ryback got was the Managing Supervisor of RAW, Vickie Guerrero, who admitted that, while she is a fan of Ryback’s destruction, she cannot have Ryback running rough shot over her show. Vickie then gives Ryback the ultimatum that, if Ryback causes any sort of chaos on RAW, then she may have to fine or suspend him. However, Vickie would feed the beast with a one-on-one match against Tensai! Per the orders of Vickie Guerrero, the opening match of the night saw “The Sin City Cyborg” Ryback going one-on-one with the destructive super heavyweight, Tensai. Throughout the match, Ryback would repeatedly mutter “Punk” and, in the end, he made one of Tensai as Ryback as “The Sin City Cyborg” blasts Tensai with the Meat Hook Clothesline before finishing things off with Shell Shocked to pick up the win. After being eliminated by Wade Barrett in the Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match, Kofi Kingston was looking for redemption as the Intercontinental Champion went one-on-one with “The Bareknuckle Brawler” Wade Barrett in a non-title match. Kofi Kingston’s quest for revenge would fall short, however, as Wade Barrett would take advantage of Kofi’s injured eye, hitting the Bull Hammer Elbow en route to pinning the Intercontinental Champion for the win! After thwarting an attack by a disguised Aksana at Survivor Series, but ultimately failing to win the Divas Title from Eve, a livid Kaitlyn would go one-on-one with her assailant, Aksana. In the end, it was a satisfying victory for “The Hybrid Diva”, delivering a knee to Aksana’s mid-section en route to picking up the win. Following a successful defense of the United States Title against R-Truth at Survivor Series, United States Champion Antonio Cesaro went one-on-one with “The Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay on RAW with R-Truth a guest on commentary. In the end, Antonio Cesaro was able to hoist Brodus Clay up and drop “The Funkasaurus” with the Neutralizer en route to picking up the win. RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero would make an appearance on RAW, touting, not only more evidence of the AJ Scandal, but actual eyewitness reports! The Managing Supervisor first presents an eyewitness by the name of Whitney Smith, a waitress in the Sacramento area who supposedly witnessed the antics between AJ Lee and John Cena. The waitress reveals that AJ and Cena demanded a “private” table, saying that the two of them were very “touchy, feely” and could not keep their hands off of each other during their meal, saying that there appeared to be a lot more than “business” going on between them. Vickie then presents her second eyewitness, Doug Brady, who works as a parking attendant. The parking attendant claims that he spotted Cena and AJ sitting together in a parked vehicle, saying that he received a complaint from a family parked next to Cena and AJ over what the family was witnessing in the vehicle. Having heard more than enough from Vickie Guerrero, AJ Lee makes her way to the ring, telling the Managing Supervisor that she does not know how much Vickie paid her “eyewitnesses”, but she is sick and tired of seeing Vickie come out there, week after week, presenting her “doctored videos” and her made-up scandal. AJ continues saying that, if Vickie wants to fire her so badly, then she should just do it, but if she is not going to fire her, then Vickie should just “shut the hell up”! Shortly after this, John Cena makes his way to the ring, telling Vickie that the whole “scandal” is simply “garbage”, saying that Vickie is just trying to get people talking. Cena then says that he will show her how to get people talking before Cena plants a passionate kiss on the Diva! Cena then turns around to address Vickie, but AJ spins Cena around, leaping into his arms and planting a huge kiss of her own on Cena! Amidst this tender moment, Dolph Ziggler hits the ring as “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” tries to cheap-shot Cena, but a brawl breaks out between the two with Dolph barely fighting his way out of the Attitude Adjustment. Ziggler then makes a quick retreat, but Cena is not far behind as, despite a misstep along the way that appeared to hobble Cena, Cena continued the pursuit, racing past Vickie Guerrero to try and get a piece of Ziggler. In their continuing and intensifying rivalry, “The Viper” Randy Orton would go one-on-one with “The Mexican Aristocrat” Alberto Del Rio, but, this time, it would be a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match! After an early onslaught from Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio would target the arm of “The Viper”, no doubt setting up for the cross armbreaker. However, Del Rio would ultimately cost himself the first fall of the match as, while battling Orton on the outside of the ring, Del Rio would repeatedly slam Orton’s arm into the steel ring post to the point of the referee having to disqualify Del Rio, giving Orton the first fall! Del Rio’s plan would pay off later in the match, however, as “The Mexican Aristocrat” would lock the cross armbreaker in on Orton, forcing “The Viper” to tap out, splitting the match at one fall a piece. With the next fall determining the winner, Del Rio would again lock in the cross armbreaker on Orton, but, this time, “The Viper” was able to fight out before coming out of nowhere with the RKO en route to pinning Del Rio for the win! RAW was set to feature a 2-on-1 Handicap Match pitting “The Punjabi Giant” The Great Khali against former tag team champions Primo & Epico, with Rosa Mendes in their corner. Before the match begins, Hornswoggle makes his way to ringside with flowers in hand and, during the match, Hornswoggle sets his sights on Rosa, acting like he wanted a kiss from the Diva, but Hornswoggle instead squirts Rosa with water. Meanwhile, in the ring, The Great Khali plants Epico with the Punjabi Plunge en route to picking up the win. Two of the members of Team Foley and Team Ziggler from Survivor Series would face off on RAW as “The Awesome One” The Miz went one-on-one with the Harvard Law graduate, David Otunga. In the end, it was The Miz driving David Otunga down with the Skull Crushing Finale en route to picking up the win. Still seething over the controversial end to the World Heavyweight Title match at Survivor Series, “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus went one-on-one with “The Duke of Decency” Damien Sandow. In the end, it was Sheamus hitting White Noise on Damien Sandow before putting the intellectual down with the Brogue Kick, picking up the win and working out some aggression. After Dolph Ziggler attacked her friend, John Cena, earlier in the evening, AJ Lee barges into Vickie Guerrero’s office and, after Vickie calms her new hired gun, Tamina Snuka, as AJ tells Tamina that she will be getting to know Tamina very soon. Vickie then amuses herself by saying that AJ is going to try and deny playing “tonsil hockey” with John Cena in the middle of the ring. With Tamina standing between the two, AJ tells Vickie that Cena is hurt, asking the Managing Supervisor what she is going to do about it with Vickie simply saying that she is going to do “nothing” about it! AJ then vows that, if Vickie is not going do anything about it, then she will! Despite the pleas of Layla, AJ Lee would march to the men’s locker room, making her way past several surprised Superstars before finding Dolph Ziggler and asking who Ziggler thinks he is. However, Dolph cuts AJ off, saying that girls like AJ are a “dime a dozen”, that they came from “nothing” and they are still “nothing”. Dolph continues that, throughout AJ’s life, she has latched on to any man who would pay her the slightest bit of attention, but she always end up alone again. Ziggler then calls AJ “desperate” and “pathetic”, saying AJ is now nothing more than a “shell of a woman”! Ziggler continues that he has seen countless girls like AJ in his lifetime, calling AJ “weak” and “pitiful”, summing it up by calling AJ “trash”. However, this would make AJ snap as the Diva would slap Ziggler silly, but John Cena would intervene, pulling AJ away from the scene before pummeling Dolph himself! Ziggler would then see an opening and would kick the injured leg of Cena, allowing him to take advantage. Cena would hobble into the bathroom area of the locker room and Dolph would charge the former champion, sending Cena crashing through the bathroom stalls! Amidst the rubble, “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” would continue to pound and stomp away at Cena as referees and Superstars alike would struggle to get Dolph Ziggler out of the area. AJ and a referee then tend to the downed Cena, calling for medical assistance. In a unique, never-before-seen matchup, WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No would face Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara in a non-title match with The Prime Time Players guests on commentary. Just as Kane was about to drop Rey Mysterio with a chokeslam, The Prime Time Players hit the ring and the numbers game would catch up to “The Big Red Monster”. However, Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara would lend a hand to Team Hell No as Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan work together to set The Prime Time Players for a double 619 from Rey Mysterio. Kane then follows this up with a chokeslam on Titus O’Neil while Sin Cara hits the senton bomb on Darren Young! One night after using the shocking attack from NXT hopefuls Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, & Roman Reigns to his advantage to successfully retain the WWE Championship at Survivor Series, CM Punk would appear on RAW, with Paul Heyman, to celebrate his one year anniversary as the reigning WWE Champion. The confident champion states that guys like Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Bret Hart, The Undertaker, and The Rock could not achieve one full year as the WWE Champion. CM Punk then presents a tribute to his one year reign as the WWE Champion, showing just some of his stellar victories over the likes of John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Kane, Alberto Del Rio, Big Show, Chris Jericho, and Ryback. After the video concludes, Paul Heyman touts the success of his associate, CM Punk, saying that the legendary Bruno Sammartino, who holds the record for the longest reign as WWE Champion in history at 2,203 days, deserves to be in the WWE Hall of Fame, but, even in his prime, Sammartino could not beat CM Punk. Heyman continues, saying that one of the most decorated champions of all-time, Hulk Hogan, does not hold a candle to CM Punk and neither does another “Paul Heyman guy”, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Heyman then vows that, at the Royal Rumble, it will be proven that not even The Rock can beat CM Punk! Punk then states that, throughout the past year, his most rewarding victory had to come at Survivor Series when he defeated both Ryback and John Cena in a Triple Threat Match and that is because no one thought that he could win, with the exception of himself and Heyman. Punk then states that he survived Survivor Series and “cemented” his legacy. However, there was one particularly angry Superstar who had a bone to pick with the reigning WWE Champion as “The Sin City Cyborg” Ryback marched towards the ring with his focus set on CM Punk. However, in similar fashion to Survivor Series, former NXT stars Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, & Roman Reigns would come out of nowhere, ambushing Ryback on his way to the ring! Ryback was briefly able to fight off the three NXT upstarts, but the pack of dogs would quickly use the numbers to their advantage, beating Ryback down on the outside of the ring. Roman Reigns then dismantles the announce table before the NXT assailants hoist “The Sin City Cyborg” up, slamming Ryback through the announce table! With Rollins, Ambrose, & Reigns standing tall in the ring, CM Punk puts his foot on Ryback’s chest, hoisting his WWE Title above his head, shouting “best in the world”! For the second night in a row, Ryback has found himself being turned into a victim at the hands of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns, but there are still no answers as to why these three NXT Rookies have provided backup for CM Punk on two separate occasions. Has the WWE Champion hired these men as some sort of personal bodyguards intent on keeping Ryback away from CM Punk and the WWE Championship? What did you think of this week’s RAW?
