WWE: Diva Officially Departing After RAW Send-OffBy Cassidy| October 30, 2012 Wrestling News After her unceremonious “firing” by RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero on last night’s RAW, Beth Phoenix (Elizabeth Carolan) is officially done with the WWE as she has completed all of her contractually-obligated appearances, the last of which was on RAW. “The Glamazon” made her main roster debut on the May 8, 2006 edition of RAW as an ally of Trish Stratus during Stratus’ feud with Mickie James. Throughout the next six years, Phoenix would win the now defunct Women’s Championship on three different occasions, as well as one reign with the Divas Championship, despite several roadblocks, including a broken jaw and a torn ACL in her knee. Phoenix also has the rare distinction of having been only the second female in WWE history (the first being Chyna) to compete in the Royal Rumble Match, which she did on two separate occasions. Her final appearance with the company was on last night’s RAW, where she lost to AJ Lee before Vickie Guerrero “restarted” the match and Phoenix won, using her signature Glam Slam for the win. Phoenix is reportedly leaving the WWE to tend to her real-life boyfriend, Hall of Famer Adam “Edge” Copeland, who is set to undergo neck surgery in November. “The Glamazon” is said to be retiring from wrestling for good and has no interest in returning to the WWE or any other wrestling organization. With the departure of Beth Phoenix, the Divas division in the WWE takes another significant blow as, just this year, the WWE has lost Kelly Kelly, Kharma, Maxine, and The Bella Twins.
