WWE: Chris Jericho Not Returning After All?By Cassidy| October 4, 2012 Wrestling News After his planned departure from the WWE in August to tour with his band, Fozzy, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Chris Jericho may not be returning to the WWE next year as originally expected. WWE has been contacting the six-time World Champion about signing a new contract with the company that would see Jericho return in time for WrestleMania. However, the issue between the two parties comes down to Jericho’s freedom as the WWE offered to have Jericho under contract with a lighter schedule where he could wrestle and make appearances for the WWE when he is not acting or performing with Fozzy, but the company wants to have final say over what outside endeavors Jericho wants to pursue, while Jericho wants control over what he wants to do without the WWE “allowing” him to do so. It is interesting to note that it was actually the WWE who decided to give up on the negotiations with Jericho, nixing any ideas of a return for Jericho for the time being. Jericho’s last WWE appearance was the night after SummerSlam on August 20 where he lost a match to Dolph Ziggler with the stipulation being that, if Jericho won, then he would win Dolph’s Money-in-the-Bank briefcase, but if he lost, then his contract would be “terminated”. Naturally, Jericho lost and he was written off of television. Do you want to see Chris Jericho back in the WWE? Post your comments in the box below.
