WWE: The Latest on Jerry Lawler’s ConditionBy Cassidy| September 12, 2012 Wrestling News Following his heart attack during the live broadcast of RAW on Monday night, things are looking up for Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, reports TMZ.com. The site reports that Lawler is making tremendous progress as he is now awake, alert, and responsive and has even been writing on a notepad. The legend’s son, Kevin Lawler, updated his father’s condition, stating “[Jerry] is hooked up to tubes and is still not able to speak…but he’s writing stuff on a notepad to talk to people. Not just brief notes, but detailed stories which shows [that] he knows where he is and what is going on.” Kevin says that the family was concerned about brain damage because Lawler was not breathing for several minutes following the heart attack, but doctors are saying that Lawler’s brain has suffered no negative effects from the lack of oxygen.
