Breaking WWE News: Jerry Lawler Collapses During RAWBy Cassidy| September 11, 2012 Wrestling News Anybody who watched this week’s RAW witnessed and heard about a very serious and scary incident during this week’s show as, during a tag team match between Kane & Daniel Bryan and The Prime Time Players, Hall of Famer and RAW commentator Jerry “The King” Lawler collapsed to the floor at ringside. At the top of the final hour of the show, Lawler’s labored breathing was heard on commentary and medical technicians rushed to Lawler’s aid with “The King” being assisted to the back where the EMT’s administered CPR to the Hall of Famer. Lawler was soon taken to a local hospital where, after some time on oxygen, Lawler was back to breathing on his own and his heart was beating on its own. Before RAW went off of the air, Michael Cole gave us own final update as he reported that Lawler had been described as “stabilized”. Those backstage at RAW were told that Lawler had suffered a heart attack and all of the post-show segments were cancelled out of respect. There was talk during RAW that they might cancel the rest of the show, but someone, likely Vince McMahon, made the call to continue on doing the remainder of the show, but not do any further commentary out of respect for “The King”. What caused the collapsing cannot be confirmed at this time, but Lawler did compete in a tag team match earlier in the night and it is highly likely that the 62-year old’s body cannot handle the regular matches that he has been competing in lately. No further updates have been released regarding Lawler’s condition since the conclusion of RAW, but he is expected to make a full recovery. During RAW, the hash tag #PrayForLawler was trending worldwide. What do you think of Jerry Lawler collapsing? Post your comments in the box below.
