WWE: Former Tough Enough Contestant ReleasedBy Cassidy| August 12, 2012 Wrestling News The Wrestling-Online Newsletter is reporting that the WWE has come to terms on the release of former Tough Enough contestant Ivelisse Velez. Ivelisse was eliminated from the rebooted WWE Tough Enough last year due to an injury. Despite coming up short on Tough Enough, Ivelisse did earn a contract with the WWE in November and was assigned to FCW and given the ring name Sofia Cortez. Ivelisse, as Sofia, began appearing on the new NXT last month. The release was confirmed by Ivelisse herself via Twitter, saying “I, as well, have been released by WWE”. This marks the second known release by the WWE in the last couple of days in addition to the much-publicized release of Brian “A.W.” Jossie. Do you think this is just the beginning of WWE’s releases?
