WWE: A.W. Reveals Why He Was ReleasedBy Cassidy| August 14, 2012 Wrestling News Following his release from the WWE on Friday, Brian “A.W.” Jossie has revealed, via Twitter, the real reason behind his release. WrestleZone.com is reporting that, while still employed by the WWE, Jossie sent out the following tweet about Linda McMahon, “#AWPromotion$ says vote for Linda McMahon!!! The PTP’z [Prime Time Players] support Linda and so should you! #voteordie4Linda.” While Jossie believes that this was the sole reason for his release, several sources indicate that it was the ‘straw that broke the camel’s back’ after the Kobe Bryant comment that Jossie made. After learning of his release, Jossie commented, “That’s how they show support for their employees who want to support Linda. They fire them. That’s complete bull[expletive].” In response, a WWE spokesperson stated, “WWE is a non-partisan organization. Superstars as well as employees are free to support any political party or candidate they choose.” Jossie took to Twitter again to say that he did not know that discussing Linda McMahon’s campaign was ‘off-limits’, saying “For some reason they don’t want to associate [Linda] with anything to do with wrestling because it’s in the past. Vince [McMahon] doesn’t want any association with her campaign. They told me it’s two totally different entities, which I didn’t know. I thought I was doing a good thing.” Jossie also summed up his feelings about the WWE, saying “I don’t hate the WWE. I love the company. But the way the politics are with her campaign, it screwed me.” After his scathing comments about his former employer, WWE has contacted Twitter to have Jossie’s Twitter account, @AWPromotions, suspended until further notice.
