Breaking TNA News: Reigning Champion Leaves TNA Wrestling!By Cassidy| August 30, 2012 Wrestling News The Wrestling-Online Newsletter is reporting that reigning TNA Television Champion Devon (Devon Hughes) has departed TNA Wrestling after seven years with the organization. Devon, as Brother Devon, debuted in TNA with his longtime tag team partner, Brother Ray (now Bully Ray), as Team 3D in October of 2005 following their departure from the WWE (who then and now own the rights to The Dudley Boyz, as well as the ring names Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley). It’s being reported that TNA and Devon were unable to come to terms on a renewal of his contract, the same issue that seems likely to cause Bully Ray’s departure from the company as well. Devon took to Twitter to comment on his departure, saying “I would like to thank the TNA fans for making the last seven years fun. I’m sure we will see each other again down the road real soon. I’m ready to see where God brings me to next. I can’t wait. I see big things on the way. Oh and HELL NO I’M NOT RETIRING.” As far as a return to the WWE is concerned, neither WWE or Devon have expressed interest in a return, but time will tell. What do you think of Devon leaving TNA?
