Detailed Results Four nights after defeating Christian to become the brand new Intercontinental Champion and become the twenty-fifth WWE Triple Crown Champion on RAW 1000, the show kicks off with new Intercontinental Champion The Miz. Miz states that he is the new face of the Intercontinental Championship and he has Christian’s “peeps” to thank for it because they voted for Christian to defend the gold. It doesn’t take long for Miz to get interrupted by the former champion, Christian, who says that he is not waiting to invoke his rematch clause for the Intercontinental Title, he is going to do it right now! The opening match of the night would see Christian invoke his rematch clause as “Captain Charisma” challenges new Intercontinental Champion The Miz for the gold. After finding himself unable to defeat Christian, The Miz would resort to using a thumb to the eye of Christian before Miz rolls Christian up, hooking the tights to pick up the win and successfully retain the Intercontinental Title in his first defense. After leading a group of Superstars in an attempt to take Kane out on RAW 1000 only for The Undertaker to foil his plans, Jinder Mahal was in action on SmackDown against “The Sin City Cyborg” Ryback. During the match, Jinder Mahal would throw all of his best moves at Ryback, but the unstoppable Ryback would re-assert his dominance and Mahal would think better of facing Ryback as Jinder takes a count-out loss to avoid the monster. The World Heavyweight Champion was in action on SmackDown as Sheamus went one-on-one with Cody Rhodes in a non-title match. During the match, Cody Rhodes shoves Sheamus off of the ring apron and shoulder-first into the steel ring post. After narrowly avoiding being counted out, Sheamus would roll back into the ring where Rhodes continues the attack, but “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Dolph Ziggler, along with Vickie Guerrero, makes his way to the ring as Ziggler appears ready to cash in for his guaranteed shot at the World Heavyweight Title as Dolph waits at ringside, ready to cash in at a moment’s notice as the match continues. Sheamus would take everything that Cody Rhodes had to offer, but the World Heavyweight Champion would battle back, hitting the Brogue Kick en route to picking up the win. After the match, Dolph Ziggler would look ready to cash in, nearly handing the briefcase over to the referee, but Dolph would think better of facing a ready Sheamus, dropping off of the ring apron. However, Chris Jericho would come out of nowhere, throwing Ziggler into the ring where Sheamus would blast “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” with the Brogue Kick. Sheamus would then leave Dolph Ziggler all to Chris Jericho as Jericho lays Dolph out with the Codebreaker! Antonio Cesaro was in action on SmackDown as “The Swiss Sensation”, with Aksana in his corner, went one-on-one with United States Champion Santino Marella in a non-title bout. In the end, it was Antonio Cesaro hitting the Gotch Style Neutralizer on Santino Marella en route to pinning the United States Champion. After being embarrassed by the reunited D-Generation X on RAW 1000, “The Intellectual Savior of the Masses” Damien Sandow went one-on-one with Yoshi Tatsu. An angry and determined Damien Sandow would dominate Yoshi Tatsu, finishing it with the straightjacket neckbreaker en route to picking up the win. Then it was time for the main event as four former World Champions would compete in a Fatal 4-Way Match as “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio, “The Big Red Monster” Kane, “The Yes Man” Daniel Bryan, and “The Mexican Aristocrat” Alberto Del Rio would square off with the winner becoming the new #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title. In the end, Rey Mysterio hits the 619 on both Alberto Del Rio and Daniel Bryan and follows it up with a bullet splash to Daniel Bryan, but Ricardo Rodriguez pulls Rey out of the ring, allowing Del Rio to pin Bryan to steal the win and earn the #1 Contender’s spot for the World Heavyweight Title!
