WWE: Manager Garners Heat for Kobe Bryant CommentBy Cassidy| July 31, 2012 Wrestling News Anyone who watched last night’s RAW may have heard an improved line by on-screen manager/promoter for Darren Young & Titus O’Neil, The Prime Time Players, AW shout into his live microphone, “Titus O’Neil is like Kobe Bryant in a Colorado hotel room. He’s unstoppable!” WrestleScoop.com is reporting that the off-color comment was a reference to a 2003 sexual assault case against the NBA superstar. The case was dropped a year later in 2004 after the accuser refused to testify. A civil suit was later settled out of court. A WWE spokesperson told TMZ.com, “A.W. made an inappropriate comment and WWE immediately apologized. WWE has taken appropriate action in the matter.” A.W. reportedly made an immediate apology to company officials, the McMahon family, and several wrestlers and vowed to not make off-color comments similar to that again. A WWE source said that A.W. “felt horrible” about the comment and “got caught up in the moment”. What do you think about AW’s comment? Should he be punished? Post your comments in the box below.
