WWE: New WWE Title Belt Coming Soon?By Cassidy| June 4, 2012 Wrestling News The Wrestling-Online Newsletter is reporting that, in an interview at the Philadelphia Wizard World Comic Con over the weekend, reigning WWE Champion CM Punk revealed that a new WWE Title belt has been created to replace the current spinner version of the belt. Punk states that the new belt will be twenty pounds heavier, adding that he would like to be the one to debut the new belt. Punk also said that, “It’s out there and it’s coming soon. Probably a lot sooner than the ice cream bars.” While the current spinner belt design has been used since April 2005 (debuted by John Cena during his first reign as champion), it has been slightly modified on a number of occasions, most notably in October 2009 when the spinner logo in the center was locked in place with that design still being used.
