Big WWE News: Alberto Del Rio Threatening to Quit?By Cassidy| June 20, 2012 Wrestling News F4WOnline.com is reporting that former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio recently had a dispute with WWE officials regarding his place in the company and even threatened to quit the company and return to Mexico. While conflicting sources are saying it was a big deal, others are saying it was not and the two sides were merely discussing contractual terms. Given his status as a major wrestling star in Mexico (before coming to the WWE, Del Rio was one of the most famous Mexican wrestlers, Dos Caras Jr.), Del Rio has leverage in the WWE as, much like his on-screen character, Del Rio does not need the money. An unnamed WWE employee was skeptical of Del Rio’s recent concussion (at the SmackDown tapings two weeks ago, Del Rio suffered a concussion during a match with The Great Khali and was pulled from his scheduled title match at No Way Out as a result) as Del Rio was unable to compete at No Way Out due to the concussion, but was fine and ready to compete the next night on RAW.
