WWE: Company Threatening Legal Action Against ReporterBy Cassidy| May 28, 2012 Wrestling News WrestleScoop.com is reporting that WWE is threatening legal action against the managing editor of the Manchester Journal Inquirer, Chris Powell, for comparing the WWE to “pornography”. The WWE is demanding that Powell make a retraction as Powell commented that former WWE CEO and current Senate candidate Linda McMahon has funded Senate campaigns through the “business of violence, pornography, and general raunch”. In an interview with the Connecticut News Junkie website, Powell stated that he never mentioned the WWE by name in his column. Powell also mentioned that YouTube currently has an age restriction on the video footage of Trish Stratus barking like a dog for Vince McMahon several years ago on television. The managing editor did not take the letter seriously at all, asking the WWE if they wanted the letter published, adding “I also asked if we could get the depositions done before the Republican primary in August because I wanted to meet Trish [Stratus].” What do you think of WWE taking legal action against Chris Powell?
