Breaking WWE News: Chris Jericho Suspended for Brazil Incident!By Cassidy| May 25, 2012 Wrestling News WWE.com is reporting that RAW Superstar Chris Jericho has been suspended for 30 days for an incident at a WWE Live Event in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Thursday night. During a match with WWE Champion CM Punk at the event, the Brazilian flag found it’s way into the ring and, acting as the heel, Jericho crumpled the flag up and kicked it. The local law enforcement immediately stopped the match and gave Jericho the ultimatum to either apologize to the Brazilian fans or be arrested, so Jericho apologized to the Brazilians to avoid jail time and the event continued. Jericho commented on the incident, “I made a bad judgment call in the course of entertaining the fans in Brazil. I apologized to the people in the crowd for showing disrespect.” Jericho also commented on his punishment, “It was a bad move. I did it with [our] fans’ entertainment in mind and I’ll accept the consequences for that.” With this suspension, Jericho will not be making any WWE appearances until after June 24, meaning that the six-time World Champion will not be a part of No Way Out.
