WWE: Edge’s Contract Expiring Soon!By Cassidy| April 20, 2012 Wrestling News The Bleacher Report (via WrestleZone.com) is reporting that Edge’s contract with the WWE is set to expire on May 1, which would allow the 2012 WWE Hall of Famer to appear for any wrestling organization he pleases after that date. While “The Rated-R Superstar” is retired from in-ring competition due to complications from a neck injury he suffered several years ago, that does not stop Edge from being able to appear for a rival promotion like TNA. This contract news is a little surprising due to the fact that WWE tends to keep their major stars under contract (regardless of ability or willingness to compete) to keep them from going elsewhere, such is the case with Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin, among others. Do you think Edge will show up in other wrestling organizations following his contract expiration? Post your comments in the box below.
