WWE: Trish Stratus Returning to the WWE?By Cassidy| February 24, 2012 Wrestling News PWTorch.com is reporting that, in a recent interview with the U.K. Sun, record seven-time Women’s Champion Trish Stratus discusses possibly coming out of retirment. Stratus stated, “I’ve got a lot in me. I really do. Physically, I’m at my best. One of the key things that made me leave was the fact that my body was just beat, but at this point, I’m healthy and strong. I feel I could go back and take the beatings – and then some. I always leave the door open, because you never know. It sounds so cliche. but if the right opportunity presented itself, I would obviously take advantage of it”. If she decides against a full-time return, Stratus comments that she would like to have a one-off match against reigning Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, “With all the teases we’ve had along the way, to have a one-on-one match would be awesome. I’d love to work her. That’s definitely on my bucket list.” The last time Trish Stratus worked in the WWE on a full-time schedule was in 2006, a run that ended at Unforgiven 2006 on September 17, 2006 when she defeated longtime rival, Lita, in Stratus’ hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada to win her record seventh Women’s Title in her final WWE match. However, Stratus would return to the ring on the December 22, 2008 edition of RAW when she teamed with John Cean to face Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix and again on September 14, 2009 in a 6-Person Tag Match. In 2011, Trish Stratus joined Booker T and Bill DeMott as a trainer on the new, revamped WWE Tough Enough and also took part in a 6-Person Tag Match at WrestleMania XXVII where she teamed with John Morrison and Jersey Shore star, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi to face Dolph Ziggler, Layla, & Michelle McCool. To date, Stratus’ last WWE appearance was on September 16, 2011 in a backstage segment with Edge and Christian. What do you think of Trish Stratus possibly returning to the WWE full-time?
